This place was great. The Bench might just have the best burgers in the state. The beach burger had a nice cut of pork on it with some well picked vegetables. The bacon and blue cheese burger was fantastic. The chicken tender were nice and crispy. Check out all my reviews on YouTube Review Time With Tim

The wood fired pizzas were pretty good. The mushroom/truffle oil one was the best. The tomato/basil/mozzarella one was a bit bland. The waitress was friendly. Nice little patio. Overall, it was a pretty good dinner/experience. Not the best wood fired pizza I’ve had, but good nonetheless!

Stopped by on the way home from Burlington, VT. Before deciding on going here, I looked at the ratings and there was 4.7 stars from 1,100 ratings... And I think that rating was too low. The atmosphere is rustic, the staff is great, and the food came out quick and piping hot. Got the salt & vinegar fries to start, yum. Entreés were moss glen pizza and the buffalo Mac & cheese. Both are worth writing home about. If you don't love buffalo, try a different meal, you cannot go wrong. Keeping this spot in the back of my mind for next time we are in the area and want a great experience.

Excellent gastropub. I had the Bench Burger and aside from its impossible size, it was amazing. Perfectly cooked. It's just hard to deal with a burger when you can't even smash it down to fit it in your mouth. Still, it was an enjoyable struggle. The poutine was enormous and also delicious. My girlfriend had the fish and chips which was excellent. Beer selection, consistent with Vermont establishments, was very good.

Very popular place amongst the locals. The mussels… one of the best I have ever had in the states. The wood fired cooking techniques let the natural ingredient shine. You can taste the freshness of the food. The restaurant also uses local ingredients to make the food. It has the organic flavor that restaurants in the big city cannot offer.

Solid location for a very decent meal. Don’t expect to be blown away, but expect to get what you came for. Food was tasty and came out very fast. Granted all that was ordered was fried or comfort food, which is difficult to screw up. Fried chicken sandwich had a slightly odd sweet and sour type sauce on it. Food came out mostly right. I would definitely not write home about this place, but if you’re hungry and need consistency go here.

The Bench was a must visit in Stowe! The drinks were exceptional and food was so tasty. The cookie skillet dessert was amazing in a cast iron with ice cream. The nachos, salmon tacos, and Buffalo Mac and cheese were divine. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. The use Yelp waitlist to track your spot in line. You can also grab a drink at the side bar while you wait! If you’re in Stowe, this is where you gotta go!

Delicious upscale comfort food in a beautiful Vermont setting. My wife had an awesome arugula and beet salad with a side of fancy mac and cheese that came in a little cast iron pan. I got a cheeseburger, which was also really good and came with a side of killer fries. Service was friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Bonus: outdoor patio is dog friendly! A bit pricey but all in all, really good food that is totally worth the hype.
