Morrell's Bbq

The staff/owners are great. Helpful, friendly. The food Is just ok. Probably good if you haven’t had good BBQ before. The brisket was cut into tiny pieces,, almost like a pulled pork, instead of slices, that irritates me. If I wanted pulled pork, I would have gotten that. I wasn’t a fan of their sauce, but that is preference, I doctored it up when I got home. The mac and cheese was, well, I threw it away. There were spices in it that don’t belong in mac and cheese. Haven’t tried the chili, I put it in the fridge when I got home and I am hoping that I can cook off some of the liquid. It was more of a brothy soup than a chili. It will take some doctoring. The place has potential to be great, but don’t let the line fool you. Most have never been there before, you want them to come back, right??

My husband and I came here on a Saturday morning. It was quiet, no wait to be seated. The greeter was pleasant. Our waitress seems new as she didn’t seem to know the menu when I asked a question about how it works, she was courteous otherwise. We were seated upstairs, we got to pick between upstairs or downstairs. Meat was delish, cornbread a bit dry and I was given half a teaspoon of cinnamon butter. Their fries is really good! Hubby complained about the cheeseburger being salty, upon investigating, we found that the coating (not sure if its cheese or something else) was burnt and was stuck on the burger that made it salty. Overall, good food. I give it 3 stars because while in the middle of our lunch, a group of young adults came in and seems that they know most of the workers. They were up and lib around the 2nd floor, talking to the waitress, bar tender, cook, and sad to say, waitress was distracted to check in on us. With the salty burger, my husband needed a refill on his drink, but no one checked as they were busy laughing and chatting to the big group that came in. All we got is the bill and was handed an ipad to choose how much tip we should leave.

Omg! So delicious 😋 I was the first in line to come to Morrell’s bbq. As I was sitting here patiently and waiting I met the owner and his mother. I knew I was going to be in love with Morrell’s bbq. Here in Boston it’s hard very hard to find delicious bbq. REAL FOOD! When Mr. Morrell mention his mother help cook and prepare the food. I almost cry lol. The brisket and beef ribs are so $&?!ing good. It’s just so hard to explain👍🏻 Mac and cheese and greens oh my. Definitely my hangout spot for the summer and fall. Host and staff are incredible ppl. Wow Morrell's BBQ is amazing! My boyfriend and I tried it for the first time and we were amazed at how tender, flavorful, and tasty the beef brisket sandwich was! Morrell's BBQ is def the best BBQ I've had in the longest time and it's awesome to have them in the area! We got the potato salad and coleslaw too and they were great sides! The BBQ sauce was soO good- we loved both but especially the hot one! And they were incredibly friendly with great customer service! Thank you 😊 we will be back!
