Super cute restaurant in downtown Stone Mountain. I went with my sister and nephew and we enjoyed our time there. Our waiter was really nice and attentive. The food was good. I love sweet potatoes so I was in heaven. My sister had a burger with pickled okra on it and never would I have ever thought to pickle okra but it was so good! I also liked that they have a garden right on their property! Definitely try them out if you're near there.

I ordered take out from this beautiful establishment. Parking was a breeze and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately I did not enjoy all of my meal. The fried green tomatoes had no seasoning and I wasn't a fan of topping that accompanied it. I ordered my burger well done and as you can see it wasn't. The smoked gouda burger was really good and seasoned but I could get past seeing all the red to finish it. The last dish the sweet potato black bean and corn hash was ok.

I received an invitation to eat at the Sweet Potato Cafe from the owner herself back in 2017. Fast-forward to now, July 2022, and I just took her up on her offer... Upon entering the establishment, I can truly say that the ambiance was welcoming, and I loved the old-school R&B music that played in the background... The issue that I had, however, was the tight staff, including that I NEVER received my appetizer. I had to ask the waiter over 5 times for a simple glass of water and napkins, and the Salmon meal that I ordered was very salty! The waiter went back and forth with me over taking the shredded cheese off of my Salmon that I did not want (nor asked for), even though it was not mentioned on the menu that it was included. Friendly environment, not so good customer service...

Excellent experience with exceptional fresh food! My server, Mahogany, was the best. The full menu is not available until 4:00, but the items that were available were very good. They offer healthy and vegetarian options as well as desserts. The curry soup was so good and the veggie panini was so delicious! The entire place was also very clean including the restrooms. I spoke with one of the owners, Daryl, who was very professional and friendly. I highly recommend Sweet Potato Cafe!

This is exactly the type of spot I live for. It has southern charm, outside seating, and delicious food. The staff was welcoming and was overall pleasant. I dined here with my husband and 7month old baby around 530pm on a Saturday. There was no wait to sit down, but the kitchen was understaffed so we did wait a minute to get our main course. Honestly, I was so at ease and in no hurry - it was completely fine with me. We started with the corn fritters & fried green tomatoes. The corn fritters are exactly as I remember them from childhood, crisp and sweet! They came with a dipping sauce but I ate them by themselves - I loved them. The FGT was a very large portion. You could easily split that dish amongst your family of 4. We have some leftovers to eat for a midnight snack! My husband got the Gouda burger and he said it “is the best burger I’ve had in a while.” He ordered sweet potato fries as the side - but we both agreed they were too sweet for our liking. I got the honey shrimp loaded sweet potato and it hit the spot. The meal filled me up without overloading but alas there was no room for dessert, sadly. You won’t be disappointed in visiting this place. I hope to make this a regular spot! Especially for Sunday all you can eat brunch :)

The food and service are both outstanding at this women owned artistic gem. They manage to have great Southern cuisine without the heavy grease and without the heavy Victorian environment. Everything is freshly prepared there to order. The desserts are from a special neighbor and are a “must try”, even if you have to take it to go after eating too much. Service is friendly and on point. Been here twice, the folks exude love.

Had the grilled chicken linguine and boy was it ever delicious. The chicken sliders are delish as well. Try their amazing carrot cake. Our server was Katie and what a delightful young lady. Spoke with the owners who were so nice. Will definitely be back.
