We've always passed by this place but have never tried it until the other day for my birthday and let me tell you they have the best shrimp fettuccine ever! Everything tastes so good and their portions are very plentiful! We will definitely be going back.

Dad and I went to dinner here after seeing the Bond film. We were hungry, on a Sunday night and didn't want fast food. Waterloo was hopping. We ordered the steak ($42) with salad and pesto pasta and split it. There was plenty for both of us, they split the salad too. Steak was the best I've had outside of Fleming's in SJ! We enjoyed it so much we ordered the tiramisu (for each of us!) All told, bill was about $80, but well worth it. Will come back, bringing the wife.

We got calamari as a starter. It looked and tasted like cod. Pictures to prove it. Never have I ever seen a squid that big and thick before. Where are the rings? Where are the tentacles? The steak was cooked properly but sautéed mushrooms doesn’t mean covered in gravy. Taste like a cambells can of soup. The salmon was over cooked. Thick layer of fish you couldn’t eat. Middle was dry and tasteless. This is my first and last visit. Spend 100 dollars for the same service as chili’s. At least the bartenders were on point.

The service was excellent. The food was great. I really enjoyed coming here. It is a nice place to come and eat, or just chill and drink.

It had been about 18 months since we last visited the Waterloo. It did not disappoint. We both had the Rib & Chicken combo. The meal starts off with a choice of a Salad or a Cup of Soup (Minestrone or Navy Bean). It also includes bread & butter. The main course arrived and we were served 5-6 very good tasting tender ribs with a 1/4 of a chicken. Your side is either a Baked Potato or Pesto Pasta. We both selected the Pesto Pasta. Nice size serving and the pasta was very tasty. The servers are friendly and very attentive. If you are in the area, you should stop by for a good meal.

Update: Thursday, April 14, 2022 Ordered the New York steak, medium, for dinner tonight. Sadly, the steak was a bit on the tough side. I’ve had the steak twice before. One time was outstanding, the other time not so. But whatever deficiency with the steak, my server, Rosie, made up for it! She is a top server in my book. When I go back I will definitely ask for one of her tables. Kudos to Rosie! I will leave the rating at four stars, since the majority of time my experience at this restaurant is great. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Update: Thursday, April 7, 2022 Was craving Waterloo tonight. Ordered the H2O special which consists of barbecue ribs and chicken. Price has increased a bit just like everything else. Started with an amazing salad with the house dressing. Bread and butter. I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce instead of Bette’s famous pesto. I was very happy with the spaghetti. After I ate half of that meal and the bread and butter I was pretty full so I took the rest home in a doggy bag. I also ordered a side of the spaghetti with meat sauce to go to complement my leftovers for the next day. I enjoy their spaghetti. Sadly they were out of pies or I would’ve probably taken a slice home. They have some good pies! Friendly and attentive servers! Kudos! Recommend! ++++++++++++++ Been eating at Waterloo for decades. Overall and usually it’s pretty good. But also has its off days. I did enjoyable dinner tonight, Saturday 11/20/21. The service was awesome. I went earlier than normal so it was not busy. I ordered the Waterloo Special ($25).. ribs, chicken and pesto. Also comes with your choice of a house salad which is very good or the minestrone soup which is quite watery. I received five good size ribs, fall off the bone. 1/4 chicken, your choice of dark or light meat. I prefer the dark meat since I’ve had the white meat before and sometimes it dry. And Bette’s famous pesto is always good! Always served with bread and butter. Quite a bit of food. I brought home a small doggy bag. I also ordered a dessert to go. I’m kind of Italian custard. No, not tiramisu. Overall five stars tonight! Last night, 8/6/21, I ordered the rib ends appetizer to start with. Eight small pieces of ribs charbroiled with the signature Waterloo barbecue sauce. They were quite tasty. They seemed fresh and were tender. Of course I had to add extra barbecue sauce! $13 For my entrée I chose the calamari steak (Fridays only) and a baked potato. $25 I chose the Friday night special of clam chowder instead of salad. The clam chowder was excellent. Served up very hot. The calamari steak was mediocre tonight. They must cook the steak in batches and it sets in a pan until it’s served. It was barely warm and the breading was soggy. I would not re-order it again unless I can be sure that that is fresh and hot. The baked potato was good. You can also get their famous pesto instead of the potato. Good French bread with lots of butter! My server was excellent. I didn’t get her name but the receipt says Rocio! Kudos to her.

Great steaks! Good service. Good food. With a devout following of customers. We went on a Sunday afternoon. It was busy. I've been there several times. I'll go back again.
