Maysan Gyro

This place is close to the college. The gyro meat was lamb and beef mix. The salad had Italian dressing. The other salad was had too much oil in it. The hummus came out with a ladle of oil in the middle. The sweet tea was more like half and half tea. The food for what you got was way over priced. Almost all the food was bottom of the barrel food with premium pricing. The two good things about them is that the service was good and the place was clean. The bad. Food wasn't great. Pricing too high. Didn't really have lights on. Used windows as lighting for the most part. I do not recommend this place.

This is what Stillwater needed! Nothing against other Greek places in Stilly, but this is a more Middle Eastern take on Mediterranean. I got the Ghelo Kebab, rice cooked excellently, pita/bread amazing, the kebab... Mouth watering. Definitely a place to go back and check again. My friend got the falafel, honestly tasted homemade, so good, nice crunch followed by soft and savory inside. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, environment still needs some work - but food and staff make up for it. My only suggestion is to turn down the TVs or play something that isn't as distracting as American music videos. The audio was so loud that I couldn't hear the waitress/hosts without them leaning in. Would be cool to see music videos from the middle east to add to the vibe.

I ordered a Gyro for lunch, and it was the most delicious one that I’ve had. I’m a San Francisco Bay Area transplant and was highly recommended to try this restaurant. I’ve had a lot of gyros in the past, as the Bay Area has many Mediterranean restaurants, but this was by far the best gyro I’ve eaten. The fries that came with it were crispy and not oily, and the staff were very nice and friendly. I’ll definitely be back!

I believe in being fair but real. It is exciting to have different food options. This little place has so much potential. The service was great and the food was good. The location lacked a bit to be desired. But don't let that discourage you. They had recently got ripped off by some horrible con-men who ruined their floors. Other than the floors its a bit plain and lacks atmosphere. The price for what we got at lunch was a bit much. Lunch should not cost over $50. Though the food was good, it lacked some flexibility. I have a restrictive diet, and there was not interest in accommodating me even a little. Do to health issues I don't eat lots of lettuce, tomatoes, or carbs. An olive platter would have been nice to see. But the lamb and chicken were delicious and the hummus divine. Here's the deal, they could improve on so many things, building on what they do well. It has a lot of potential and we look forward to seeing where it goes and coming back again. We may try an evening meal.

The waitresses were very nice, but the food is average and I wish I had taken a picture of the amount of french fries they put on my plate. When we mentioned it to the waitress, she told us the cook said we were paying for the sandwich, not the fries. I'm guessing they get that same complaint often.
