El Mezcal

We’ve come to El Mezcal many times and each time was amazing. The chips are so crunchy and tasty. My mom gets the chicken chimichanga every time because it’s great quality and taste. On this particular day, we had were somewhere to go and asked if (jokingly almost) that we could get our food super fast. In record time really (less than 10 min) the four of us were presented with deliciously, hot meals. Absolutely amazing. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking high customer service and great food!!!!

Wish it wasn't so far from home. Apparently, the fish tacos were worth the drive. I had a monster burrito that was very good, and our granddaughter had a platter of nachos that will provide another meal at home. We were seated immediately, and the server was very efficient and friendly. The wait time for our dinners was what you would expect for a Sunday dinner, but was well worth the wait. The quaint setting and background music made for a pleasant afternoon meal. I could hardly wait to get home for an afternoon siesta.

El Mezcal Stevens Point recently moved to a new location. We didn’t like the old restaurant, but the new one looked nice from the outside so my wife and I decided to try it. Unfortunately we were disappointed just as in the past. Upon entry we could not believe how beet up the place was, it looked just as bad as the old place. There was also food waste scattered on the floor. On a high note, the bathrooms were clean. The food was mediocre at best. I would not go back.

Amazing food in a beautiful atmosphere. The staff are all very polite and professional. The dishes are served very hot and very quickly. It was packed when we went... but it's also a Saturday night. The art and general decor is beautiful! Authentic food? Short of going to another country, food was spot on. Drinks are also amazing! Prices are all completely reasonable. Definitely coming back!

3 starts….I’ve eating from this place twice both time food came out wrong now the only reason I’m giving them 3 starts is because of the friendly staff they were really good. Now this place is good for the common folk you know the folk that hasn’t left Wisconsin and eat their food with Fluor tortillas. This restaurant has other establishments with in Wisconsin that I have eaten as well and the food is the same the food here is what I like to call the “ the assembly line food” which the food is already made and just gets put on a plate or they made the food the week before and that’s what they serve you it gets heat up in a microwave and out the door that’s why they are quick to get the food out. So to the other people that actually know real authentic Mexican food they are two other restaurants with few miles where you can actually get really good food. I’ll probably won’t eat here again but as a critic I like to leave a review I hope the food changes but I’m not holding my breath. Thank you

Our server was fantastic. He checked in enough to be attentive but also allowed space for us to visit. As a momma to be, I was delighted when he made my strawberry lemonade up to look more like a cocktail. Our food also came out super fast and was very good. My only wish is the zarapa came with a little more roasted poblano. Overall, a great experience.
