I love this place. It's always a good experience when I come here. The ladies that work here are so nice and take pride in there work. Delicious food. I stop by here 2 or 3 times a year when I'm driving to and from Illinois

My husband and I were driving through on our way back to Minnesota. I was looking for a local, more healthy option for late lunch. This was perfect!! I had a generous salad and my husband had the “billy Bob” sandwich! I could choose 8 add ins for my salad and there were many fresh options!! The ladies working there were welcoming and wonderful!! Cute spot, local hospitality and good fresh food!! Well done!!

Went for lunch on a Monday...had grilled sandwich with chips and cabbage pocket with a cup of jalapeno corn chowder and iced tea (which is fresh brewed on sight😉). The grilled sandwich was heavenly ( definitely get the house cream cheese on it!) The pocket was made with scratch dough sourced locally as was the beef for the filling 😋. Chowder was quite tasty with nice spice and a light cream base, so good. Yum! Would love to come back and try other items. Located in downtown Sterling...great lunch spot with cute decor ( they've repurposed items from the original grocery store ) Go! Check it out! You won't be disappointed! What a great menu of atypical choices like Mexican beef, rice & cheese soup and many grilled cheese combos plus so many terrific ice creams. Chili dogs 🌭? ✔️ Frito pies? So great with lots of comfy seating and nice folks getting you sorted out.

This place not only has excellent ice cream, but they also have delicious food! It’s mostly the only place in town that has fresh and nutritious food options in a comfortable atmosphere. It’s my new fave spot! 😋

It would have been five stars but the icecream was the bottom of the bucket and was freezer burned, not good. Chili was great though, and the grilled cheese was tasty. Staff was super friendly. What a beautiful down town area, like a movie.

I got the Billy Bob sandwich for lunch and was pleasantly surprised when it came on garlic bread. The vibe here is relaxed and the staff are friendly without being overbearing. Overall a great experience.

My Granddaughter & I always enjoy lunch at Simkins Parlour. The old-world charm and tasty food make it one of our favorite stops.
