Great staff, super friendly no doubt about it but the bloody Mary's were horrible and the nachos were burned. I don't know the rest of the menu if it's good or not but just the 2 mimosas, 1 bloody Mary and the nachos it was pretty disappointing after a local said it's a good place for drinks, food and to watch the game(not how it turn out but at least we tried it out). But my friend and I enjoyed the staff and the game.

Everything was great (except maybe the way my head felt the next day). Wings are as good as I remember, service was great, whiskeys are excellent. They even did a nice job of ejecting a drunk bonehead without incident. People have mentioned the prices in a couple reviews...pretty standard for a decent place in a mountain town from what I found. If you like whiskey, go to the bar and put yourself in their hands. If you want a fun place with good food and drinks Carl's is a must visit when in Steamboat.

This place was okay, the food was good, just not what we expected for the price. We understand inflation has caused prices to increase, but these still seemed a little steep. Our waitress Rose was attentive during our visit. Other reviews listed this place as kid friendly, however we would disagree. They don't have a kids menu and most items $18 to $50, it's a little pricey. My personal opinion is this place would be great for couples or friends meeting up.

So pictures taken after half the food was gone lol. But honestly this place exceeded all my expectations!!! Food came out super fresh, super fast, staff was handing business in that kitchen. Everything was cooked perfect. I usually always have something I feel could have been better but that was not the case this time. We seated ourselves at the bar are server was Russell! What a stand up guy! Couldn't be happier!!! Thanks to all the staff for making a great time.

Dear Carl, By the time you read this, we're already long gone. Don't even try to check the tapes. Green chili is a big whatever. Salad bowl is too small to contain the salad. If you've had McDonald's fries then you already know what you're getting. Burgers are good. It's fine. Hard to mess that up. Staff is great and friendly. I recommend that if you plan on writing a review, wear a disguise. We felt kind of weird knowing that Carl could be watching us, reading the dictionary, and prepping his response. Anyways, we'll be back next season.
