No wait. Seated right away. On Thanksgiving no less. Debbie our server was absolutely amazing! Food was delicious. Only complaint was both the hotel app & hotel staff on phone said there were no reservations available implying they were booked solid. When we got here to just check for ourselves there was hardly anyone here. Our server later explained they don’t take reservations and are a walk in service restaurant only. So don’t believe what you are told on the phone or in the hotel’s app. Just walk on in. Everything was delicious, well prepared and service was amazing!

The is one of the best cafes in Stateline, and is very convenient if you're staying at Harrahs or Harveys hotel resort. I usually go to this cafe since my family and I usually stay in either of these resorts. It is located at the bottom of Harrahs casino and close to its arcade.
This cafe is good for eating breakfast and lunch in my opinion, but people can go here for dinner. Even I decided to have food from there at that time. My family and decided to order spaghetti and meatballs, fish and chips, and steak to go. All of them are delicious. I also like how the staff used different type of pasta rather than the regular spaghetti one.
I've been here multiple times and the interior of the restaurant is naturalistic since there are rocks surrounding the place. It even feels relaxing here because of it.
I didn't dine in for this review, but I will do that next time to get full experience and give full thoughts. It's been a while since I come to this cafe.

I ordered the Caprese Sandwich, with a small salad and some sort of vegetable beef soup. The soup was spicy, the beef tender and the veggies perfect. Every part of the salad was crisp and delicious, as was the house ranch dressing. Best of all was the sandwich. All the flavors were married perfectly. Outstanding food, great service. We loved Debbie our server, she never made us wait on anything. Everything was prompt and hot (or cold) as the case was needed. Great place for breakfast.

We had a huge party and they were kind enough to accommodate the entire party to sit together! The service, food and overall treatment was excellent and a special shout out to our excellent waitresses, Erika and Veronica! And thanks to manager Richard for arranging it all! We have been eating here since 1993. Debbie was our server …. She was perfect! Loved her service, smile, and food. Every aspect of our visits was A+. We ordered the All American breakfast. It was delocious - eggs fresh , hash browns crispy, and sausage patties yum.
In the past Cora has helped us and she’s also a gem.

This was our go-to breakfast spot while we were on vacation in Tahoe. Decent food. Decent service. The Cafe was never too busy. The waitress got to know us. The prices were about $3 to $4 over-priced.
It was nice that they serve a carafe with an order of coffee.

Our family went on a vacation at the Lake Tahoe and had a breakfast at the American River Café in Harrah’s. We had a great experience because of Gloria who checked us out at the cashier, she made sure I use my reward card to get the points and accommodated everything we possibly needed. The best thing ever happened there was that they found my wallet for me. I haven’t received my wallet as of yet, but it’s on the way via UPS, which they shipped it for me.
