We stopped here by chance after I desperately looked up burger joints in Maps on our way back from Canada, after hearing we’d just stop at a fat food chain if we can’t find something. The place was on the next exit and had good reviews pop up, so we pulled off and where excited to see a small local-looking white building tacked onto a gas station with some nice outdoor seating.
Very clean inside, and the staff was super friendly. My boyfriend got one of their tasty sounding cheeseburgers and I opted for a salmon burger, with sides of fries. I noticed they offered gluten free buns, and as a Celiac asked a few more questions about their fries, dedicated fryer and if gloves could be changed when they compiled my meal. It was not only a pleasant surprise to see a gf bread option offered, but the guy taking out order assured me the fries have a dedicated fryer (away from the delish looking but breaded onion rings) and that they would change gloves and prep my burger on a clean surface. We placed our order and sat on the outdoor patio while the food was cooking.
The salmon burger is AHHHHmazing! My bf finished his burger seemingly seconds after it was brought out, so I’ll speak for him here and say it was also a delicious meal! He ordered his fries extra crispy and they came out perfectly. But again, I can’t stress enough how badly you need to get in here and order the salmon burger, extra pickles � � �
For a burger joint on the end of a gas station, Johnny's is easily missed. But don't. The best burger for the price anywhere. Truly fresh, made to order, and reasonably priced. The onion rings were fantastic. I will skip fancier places to eat here from now on.
I'm going to give Johnny's 5 stars mostly because of thier fantastic employee who single handedly fed all the folks who were trapped in Stanwood after the huge accident that shut down I-5! We were starving and were so lucky to find Johnny's. Johnny's please fix your bathroom and fill up your ketchup

OPEN AGAIN! I was so happy to find this shop open again. They suffered some difficult repair issues and I thought we lost them. SO Happy I checked once more. GARDEN BURGER is FANTASTIC. Other burgers are great too, but I’ve never found a garden burger this good. Their ingredients are fresh! It’s a call to pick up or order and wait counter style system. The head cook knows what she’s doing. A regular visit is highly recommended!
One of the best burgers I've had. Hot, fresh and delicious. The sweet potato fries are just as amazing as the staff running this little joint. Skip the line at wendy's or burger king and treat yourself to a real burger.
I live about 40 minutes away from Johnny's, so I don't come here often, but the last time I was here about a week ago the bacon burger I ordered was very underwhelming. Somehow the beef patty was served overcooked to the point that the edges were crispy and I could taste the burnt meat throughout. This may have happened because they were understaffed. I may not order a burger here again because of that experience, however, I absolutely love the onion rings here. I will definitely keep returning even if it is just for the onion rings.
Burgers were great and so was the milkshake. They use cheddar, swiss and pepper jack cheese. Quaint little place right off the freeway in a rural area. I will be stopping here again on my trips through the area.
