Our family was in Stanley for the eclipse. We had originally planned to bring all our food and only expierence the town on the first night there. Boy was that a mistake! We ended up calling Papa Brunee's our home away from home as we ate at least one meal a day there. The flavors were fresh, the selection was excellent, the prices were fair, and the staff knew us by our first names by the time we left. We will be back!
Good pizza, great subs! Best place to eat in town for sure.
I can't say enough about this place. Everything is delicious. Get everything.
For example, I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was amazing. The bread was toasted to perfection. There was an ample amount of delicious pork and the fries were perfect too.
Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful. There was also a very friendly local chowing down on some wings and he said everything is good, he was right.
You guys are great and everything on menu was amazing. Only regret, I left before getting all the pizzas. Thanks, see you next year but hopefully not. So beautiful and hate seeing your beautiful area burning but glad to help. God bless and hugs. Everyone there was great. Mountain biking takes new levels and wished I could go. I'm coming back either way. People this is a area of 64 people and they're great. You got to visit.
I can't believe how good this Pizza is. You place your order at the register and the staff brings it to you. They seemed nice in our brief, chill interaction. Exactly what you'd expect in Stanley. Did I mention that the pizza is amazing. Like seriously, some of the best, if not the best, that both my friends and I have ever had. Well done Papa Brunne's!
This place is amazing! So many fun pizzas to choose from! Pictured is the PEPP-E-DUE made vegetarian. Love that it uses cremini mushrooms instead of boring button mushrooms. Sweet peppers and hot honey pair nicely with the pesto sauce.
We grabbed our pizza and went up to the town park next to the airport - a beautiful setting for an amazing, Covid-safe meal...
Rode my motorcycle to Stanley. Stopped for lunch and a break in the AC. There's aren't too many options in this small town. Checked out Papa Brunee's and it was good. Had a meatball sandwich which was not awesome but good. Though they are a sandwich and pizza place the pizza looks like the star. Great staff, very friendly, good small town hang out. I'd recommend it.
Outstanding pizza. We pulled in here starving from a 10 hour drive. We were so delighted that the pizza was delicious. And it's very reasonably priced for being so remote.
After an 8 mile strenuous hike, this pizza brought me life. We've been eating food we cooked in our RV for a while now, but it just wasn't going to cut it after today's hike.
Covid-19: you can order and pay over the phone. You have to go inside to sign the receipt. I didn't see anyone wearing masks inside. Our pizza wasn't quite ready and they brought it out to the car for us after I signed the receipt.
We got 3 medium pizzas: Blue Apple, Pepp-E-Due, and Notorious P.I.G. We also got some firesticks. This was for 3 people and it was entirely too much food. I guess hiking all day will make you overestimate. We finished all of the firesticks and half of the pizza. Who doesn't love leftover cold pizza though?
I loved both the Blue Apple and the Pepp-E-Due. They both had unique toppings and were delicious. The Notorious P.I.G was good, but it was pretty much just a meat lovers pizza, so nothing too exciting. I loved their crust. We got regular and it had a good crunch to it on the outside and a good flavor.
The firesticks were good. They were like an upgraded cheesey bread. They had a little kick but weren't that spicy. I loved the cream cheese addition.
This is definitely the best pizza I've had in such a small town and way better than I would expect to find. Check it out!
