Bring Cash, no Credit. Nice Po' Boy. Watch the new hours. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday they close at 2pm. Food beats the atmosphere and that is always a good result.

Well this is very disappointing because this place is a wonderful childhood memory. But unfortunately now it will be just a memory. My friends and family went in for brunch today and had the worst restaurant experience I've had. The food was all way over cooked, we found 3 hairs and could see poor kitchen practices from our table. Two of our party of 6 have gotten fiscally sick not just 15 mins from brunch.......very very sad......North Forest Cafe I wish you the best but it doesn't look good.

Great Staff. Great Food! Only been there a handful of times but never been disappointed. The staff treats every customer like they've been coming there for years, not like another place in town where they pay more attention to the regulars. We love this place!

First our salads was watery like the lettuce had been washed and just put right on the plate. Then the waitress says after we order the all you can eat fried fish special, "Hope no one wants more because we're all out." Next the fish was so over fried it wasn't even flaky anymore. Lastly my mother had to wait over 5 minutes at the register to pay. Why? The cook and waitress were out back having a smoke. Never going back.

I really like this place. Everytime I come to standish try to make it here. They close early and serve breakfast items. In big portions and reasonable prices. Its a mom and pop cafe. If you want to know the local gossip and where the fish are. This is your place.
