Amazing steak sandwiches. Fantastic salad with marinated chicken and their handmade taziki (so?) sauce. John's s as good as it gets. Great service. Reasonable prices. Cafeteria ambience and restricted parking and the only two downsides. I don't downgrade for that, but it's not the most romantic first date. I will go back to Johns every time I come to Stamford! You should too!

Best cheesesteaks within 25 miles of Stamford. Steak, cheese, lettuce and jalapeño with a little mayo. Heaven on a roll.

Best Family pizza for over 50yrs in the Tri-State (Stamford, CT). I personally have been eating here for last 25yrs, and it's always amazing. Try it and thank me later.

I've been eating at the pizzeria even before I moved to Stamford. Over 20yrs. My favorite is the Special (vegetable) pizza, or 2 slices of onion and garlic. 😋😋😋. Always friendly.

Set in a corner of a tiny plaza at the cross roads created by not two but three streets, it is a small, even tiny no frills takeout pizza shop offering mainly thin crust pizza that tastes surprisingly good. On a Friday night I found three older dour faced men methodically churning out pizza fare in a shop an efficiency born of long experience. Neither them or the place looked welcoming. But the customers that came in to pick up their orders didn't care. They just came for the great tasting pizza.

I've been ordering pizza from John's since they opened many years ago when I lived in Stamford. I now live in the New Haven area where there are a lot of good choices for pizza. John's is still the best I've ever had.
