Hands down, my favorite place to get fresh seafood in St. Pete! The fried grouper is SO on point. And the service makes you feel like family. Love this spot!
Live music, great friendly atmosphere and the food was great!!!! Definitely fresh, I recommend the gumbo.
Husband & I went and shared the Ultimate Platter for $20.00. It was just what we were looking for, a little dive that served up a platter full of lightly fried seafood.
Great Seafood. I've dined at Mid Peninsula many times over the years. The food is always fresh and very well prepared. I have just been in for dinner and had delicious scallops. It won't be long before I return.
I am a big fan. This restaurant is absolutely amazing. The casual atmosphere, the friendly staff and the fantastic seafood. I just ask what fish I should order tonight and it is great.
Good Basic Seafood. Kind of surprised with the negative reviews. I've eaten here many times. Select your seafood from the grocer case counter. Tonight, two of us ordered fried fresh oysters, fried flounder, grilled amberjack, coleslaw, fries, hush puppies, and beer, $34.00 total. Very fresh, very plain, straight fresh seafood. Live music. I will be surprised if you go there and find something different than I've described. Thanks.
Disagree with ClearH20. I disagree with the comments of Clearwater (neat screen name) above. I don't do chain restaurants. Mid Peninsula is a place I've dinned at for many years many many times, and is a place that I recommend to my out of town friends who want the "old Florida" feel. I've never gotten anything less than good food and whatever I ordered. The fish sandwiches, the real sweet tea (not from a soda machine), always have me coming back. I don't know why your visit wasn't as good as so many others, like me, who've visited and reviewed this eatery.
I'll be going back.
