Basil Leaf

A while back, I was quite a regular at Basil Leaf - because the food was always amazing. I visited for the first time in awhile since they remodeled (which is super basic and nothing fancy) BUT I can honestly attest that the sushi is still the best around. So fresh and good. We had the sublime roll & pad-woon-sen as well as Tom yum soup & steamed dumplings. Unfortunately, the dumplings were cold, but they promptly exchanged them for others once we informed them. The Thai dishes were just “okay,” and the service wasn’t super attentive. I would return for and recommend the sushi alone at this time!

The sushi was amazingly fresh and the portions quite large! I actually ordered too much! There were 3 of us eating sushi so I ordered 4 rolls and half was left! Highly recommend! One person has the pad Thai and it was really good and a portion that could feed two! Even tho it was busy the staff kept the meal going so never a long wait.

We order spring rolls and 2 sushi rolls as appetizers to share and really enjoyed them. The peanut sauce that came with the spring rolls was so good we scrapped the bowl clean. Service was slow and resturant was about 75% full. We waited 15 to 20 minutes for the apps and after we had finished them we waited about 45 minutes for 3 noodle dishes and then we decided to cancel the rest of our food. What we did get was good so it was disappointing we couldn't try our meals.

Update - ordered 2 more times same food as below and both times quality of tuna was a bit fishy and Pad Thai chicken was really dry 😶 Time to find another place. Decided to get Uber delivery and glad we did. We got some 2 for 1 which was the dumplings and tuna roll. Huge rolls packed with tuna. Yummy 😋. Also ordered the Chicken Pad Thai. Did not disappoint and large portion. Love the added a small orchid for presentation. Will order again. Highly recommend 👌

DELICIOUS!! And the VARIETY of Thai dishes to Sushi/Sashimi - incredible. VERY large portions, and it heats up great the next day!! I LOVE who ever named the special rolls - hilarious!! Check out my pictures of the menu. We ordered: Kids Crispy Chicken with fries, Khao Soi (crispy noodles on top and inside), Fresh Basil Sauce with rice and the Mack Daddy (cucumber rolled with Salmon Tuna Amberjack) the ponzu sauce was off the hook!! I wanted to drink it!! Hahahaha I will have to go back to try more Sashimi and Thai curries! LOVE IT!!

Ex ellence Thai food, very friendly and attentive service. Sushi is top notch, they don't skimp on ingredients. i.e. it's not 90% rice with fish for flavoring it 90% fish with great presentation. Curry was exelent and the portion was huge. Some of the best Tom Yum soup I've had, exclent job with the spices and reduction. Highly recommend this place.
