A casual atmosphere at the classic don Cesar with a nice fish spread of trout and cocktail list. Like the other eateries inside the Don Cesar like the Row Bar and Beachcombers, they make good places to snack at and visit several times to try new things
Good menu selections and good service, nice atmosphere with very comfortable outdoor seating. The wait staff does a good job. This is an excellent property for beach front, and the outdoor remodel with the extended patio and fire pits are very nice, but the rooms are very small and not really worth what they charge for them.
The best eggs Benedict I have ever had! The service was perfect and the atmosphere was beautiful. It was an overall great experience.
Fruit!. Best side of fruits I ever had (mainland USA). The vegetarian choices are limited but the veggie wrap is flavorful and the tofu ragout on corn noodles is a great and nicely balanced meal.
To improve:
The noodles could be served with a much spicier sauce. By coincidence I once had lunch with two other vegetarians and we all used pepper flakes on our tofu dish.
Beer selection is not adequate. Caribbean and no Redstripe, 2011 and no craft beers?
Highly Recommended. This place has been here forever, beach side in the Don Cesar, and continues to serve fine Caribbean-influenced creations. I like their mango sauce (or the occasionally-available Jamaican curry). The fish is always fresh and the ribs are very good too. Prices are a bit high, but the location makes it worthwhile. Waitstaff is attentive as well.
Excellent food and service!
Two weeks ago, I posted about a girls trip I had at Don Cesar in St. Pete Beach with my friend Amanda ( wheresamanda.com ). The two days we had at "The Pink Palace equaled beautiful views, white beaches, craft cocktails and delicious food. Our first night at the resort, we dined at The Sea Porch with our friend Jeff. The Sea Porch has seating inside and out, allowing for some of the most breathtaking beach views and sunsets you have ever seen. We started with Conch Fritters with Burnt Orange Mustard Sauce. I've been to the Keys quite a few times and every visit, we order conch fritters. I can honestly state these lived up to the pressure. The second starter was Blue Crab Cakes with Habanero Remoulade and a Red Papaya Chutney. I usually turn my nose up to blue crab but I enjoyed this very much. We received a bowl of sweet potato soup, compliments of the chef. The southern girl in me eyed this soup very suspiciously. Upon first bite, I fell in love and do not know if I can ever get over
Located on the ground floor of the hotel, just steps from the resort pools and beach access, the Sea Porch has a feeling of being on the beach, in the midst of ocean air, but is closed off enough to maintain an air of relaxed elegance. The Don CeSar even calls the Sea Porch “seaside chic”, which is really a perfect description. But don’t let the fact that you’re at the Don CeSar, close to a beautiful beach, in a restaurant newly renovated and dubbe
A lovely evening all around. Beautiful setting out on the deck, warm, genuine and attentive service and a fantastic menu. The food was all fantastic- all six of my party all raved about their meals including the desserts. The wine list was solid as well. Truly- it was a great night! We’ll done!
My wife and I just grabbed a quick breakfast here every morning. It is a good buffet and I have no complaints. They brought us drinks promptly and asked if we wanted omelets or other special requests. We were in a little hurry so we just grabbed stuff from the buffet and were very satisfied. It is clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Excellent food and great drinks. Located inside the Don Cesar, this restaurant is worth checking out if you are in the area. Warning parking for the Don Cesar is a $27 without an overnight stay. As long as you are there be sure to check out everything else the Don has to offer.

Awesome food and staff. Elegant but personal.
Sidenote for some of the negative reviews:
This place is excellent if you are staying at Don Cesar or nearby. The experience for people trying to park nearby and swing by for a meal might not be pleasant.
Not trying to devalue you, but they get so much business from people either staying at the hotel or nearby that catering heavily for the drive up crowd might not move the needle much. Just in my modest opinion.
We are staying at the Don and decided to give the Society Table a try for breakfast. The breakfast menu was very basic and rather overpriced for the offerings. We chose to wait until lunch started to order. The lunch menu had slightly better selections. We chose the Grouper Sandwich and the Brisket Sandwich. Both meals were truly enjoyable and different! Drinks were great, I highly recommend the Cucumber Bloody Mary. Lastly, our waitress and the rest of the staff were very friendly and took care of us. I would recommend the Society Table but probably just for a casual lunch spot!
