Food was definitely made with thought and effort! Came in a Saturday night for dinner. The place was not busy and I only saw two waitresses. Service was a little slow but I attributed that to a large party that was in the same area. Ordered the crab cakes followed by the jerk pasta and ravioli. Each was delicious and fresh. Bread was also freshly baked (or reheated) Parking was a little shard to find as it’s connected to a resort of some sort. The breakfast bar set up looked like it would be nice and could be another great meal for the further to come back to.

Not bad, but nothing amazing. I was excited to try the filet with brandy peppercorn cream sauce—as I LOVE homemade sauces on (or drizzled under) meats—but the sauce tasted like thick, standard beef gravy with some whole peppercorns mixed in. The filet, however, was very good—cooked well—and a good size. The veggies were a nice blend but the mashed potatoes tasted watery like instant (boxed) potatoes. Overall, the food was good, but nothing to wow over. The one thing that would definitely prevent us from going back though was the atmosphere… It might be okay for breakfast and lunch, but they should reallyyyyyyyyyy consider dimming the lights (or updating them to dimmers) for dinner time. It felt like a bright cafeteria (at 8pm) instead of a hotel dinner lounge.

Don't let the marketing fool you. We reserved there for father's day dinner as their site says beach front and the menu looked really good. 1st on their site it says it's beach front. There is absolutely no view of the beach anywhere in this restaurant, not even a window that faces the water. We had a lovely view of the garbage dumpsters. 2nd, the place looks closed, stacked chairs, mostly empty dining room, there were 4 tables the 2.5 hours we were there. 3rd- the menu on their website is not the menu they served, there were at least 5 items left off. ie grouper, scallops, some key things you'd want on the beach. 4th- No staff, no bartender, 2 servers and ours seemed like a busboy they let take tables. Nice, but no idea what he was doing. It took 30 mins to get drinks and over an hour to get food. He didn't know how to separate checks. but he had already ran our cards so.... We did try to get in somewhere else once we realized the restaurant was not as described but being father's day we were not able to get in anywhere else without a reservation. So we were stuck. We didn't say anything at the time as by the time we were done it was 10pm and we and our baby all just wanted to leave. I went to the front desk of the Sirata the next day to speak to a manager and what I got was a sorry from the front desk and they'd let the marketing and food and beverage manager know. So here's an update. Not only was this our experience but 2 of our credit card charges changed when they finalized. One of our party was billed over $300 when his part of the check and the charge he signed for was just over $100. I left messages for the food and beverage manager and accounting department but no one returned my calls. My friend was left to disputing the charge with his bank as the hotel/ restaurant chose not to fix their mistakes. Mistakes happen but No effort to fix them is pathetic. Book anywhere else other than the Compass Grill at the Sirata!!

This restaurant is unreliable. We got there at 9 (posted and advertised hours are til 10) and the lights were all off but the door was unlocked. I went in and the staff were all hanging out in the kitchen and told me they were closed. I pointed out that the door was open and they asked which one but no one made a move to go lock it. When we went in the hotel we found another family that went through the door inside the hotel and had the same experience.

Hands down best breakfast on the beach. Excellent food drinks and service. The burrito put ihop to shame...and you can take any leftover pancakes home as a spare comforter. Portions and prices exceeded expectations greatly. Make time to visit this awesome little hacienda before heading out to the beach out back!

We stayed at the resort attached to the Compass Grill and were given a few vouchers for breakfast here. Now, the breakfast menu is a lot of potatoes, starches, and carbs. There isn't really a solid protein packed meal besides the steak and eggs. Unfortunately, the vouchers don't cover that meal. However, speaking with Lisa and explaining my dietary needs she allowed me to order this meal. I didn't really touch the potatoes or bread- but the steak was cooked how I ordered, medium and the egg was done correctly as well. I highly recommend asking for Lisa if you try them. She is the most pleasant and tentative there- even remembered my exact meal several days in a row! The rest of the servers seem to just go at their own pace and talk way too much instead of being attentive. The hostess, I am sorry I forgot your name, dark complexion and beautifully braided hair was a funny and lovely gal too. As far as prices- it's expensive because this is tourism. 10 bucks for a meal seems to be the standard now a days. However, with that being said I wish in the future they would think about adding to their menu for breakfast a pick 4 for $8 or something. Give me the option to create my breakfast plate because of my dietary needs without paying more because of health issues. Lots of places offer this- please consider adding it to your breakfast menu.

Service and food was great, but it was completely empty? And it was indicated that we should have reservations but it was completely unnecessary... Sort of strange.
