We stopped here while we were in St. Mary’s and it was such a cute local spot. The atmosphere was great and most importantly the food was so delicious, it was definitely cooked with love!! We each had an omelet with a side of bacon and their homemade bread, so yummy!! We will be back the next time we’re in the area. Thank you for the wonderful food!
We’ve been going here sporadically for years, it’s a great place as a bakery or as a restaurant/breakfast always friendly & bake good second to none & we live in eating capital of the South. South Carolina but when visiting family we always try to get to Spouses. Do yourself a favors & try the famous bread pudding & that’s right pour on the bourbon topping.
What can’t I say about this place? Veteran owned. Cool chalk artwork leading in. Cozy country feel for inside dining. Girl behind the counter so friendly and made great suggestions on sandwich bread; so many options to choose from. Even the chef came out to check our order before it was fully placed.
Now onto the food. We got the breakfast burrito, bacon egg and cheese on garlic sour dough, cheese crostata, and a classic glazed donut. Not one thing was wrong with any of them. Food came out hot and fresh. Chipotle Mayo whipped in back for the burrito. And the serving size for the price was on point.
If you haven’t eaten here, go. Now. Breakfast all day. Get the burrito. You won’t regret it.
Best fresh bread around! Ham n cheese croissants are awesome! Spinach quiche was perfect. Sandwiches are better than a few other places we tried in town while visiting. Well priced. Friendly. Good music. Clean. Our go to for a week!
Went here for the first time today and WOW! Local gem. Staff were friendly, menu was small and fairly priced. I love that they do rotating specials to always offer fresh food. Can't wait to go back. Honest, hardworking business I look forward to visiting again! I got the Turkey Bacon Avocado, my date got one of their paninis.
Delicious baked goods. The brownies are just right. Spinach pastry was so good I could have ate it for dessert. I bought sourdough bread and it was delicious warmed with butter and honey. The staff are very friendly too. Closed Sundays. Veteran owned company.
Other than not getting my bread of choice... I thought it was a quaint little place. Only 6 tables here, spread apart if you dine in. Will have to go back for some croissants soon.
I'm not sure what the best thing is about this quaint little home town bakery. The cheese danishes are OUT OF THIS WORLD❣️, the best I have ever had hands down and trust me I've probably had more than my fair share😁. The blueberry muffins are absolutely perfect and full of fresh blueberries 🫐. I also had the sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on the fresh made sourdough bread. Everything was cooked to perfection and scrumptious. The icing on the cake so to speak was that it is a Veteran owned business. If you are anywhere close to St. Mary's this is a must try Bakery and Restaurant 🤤😋😍

Fantastic food!!! Some of the best red beans and rice I’ve had in forever, and the St. Mary’s grilled cheese was awesome. Great customer service as well!!! I’m jealous this place wasn’t open when I lived in St Mary’s years ago!
Great hometown bakery! Their fruit tarts are delicious 😋 and they offer a great variety of muffins. You'll find the traditional like blueberry, but also something different like sweet potatoes or chocolate peanut butter! Try their croissants and quiches also. You won't be disappointed.

I love this place & only wish it were closer to where I live. Got lucky today with my favorite combo of the chicken pot pie & death by chocolate cake. You'd think that the cake would be heavy but its actually not, it's very light but absolutely delicious. The piece is big enough for 2 people to easily share which is great because with my 5 kids I wouldn't be able to get a bite for myself. Well worth the drive to get out there. Highly recommend ❤
Best bakery/breakfast place anywhere near Kings Bay. Great service and great food. Love this place. Get the breakfast burrito.
I only know them through their attending the Tybee Island Farmers Market every Monday. All I have purchased are exceptional and I usually buy chicken pot pies. However 2 Mondays ago the 4 that I bought were very dry. The ingredients were fine, just needed more sauce (chicken broth?)....months later I have edited this review because I no longer purchase the chicken pot pies because they continue to be too dry.

Everything on the menu I've tasted was great. I drove from Jacksonville just to eat here. It was worth the drive. The Brisket handpie is my favorite.. The staff were very nice

Had breakfast and took sandwiches for the beach later. Everything was wonderful. And Donna Prater, no one there put rotten lettuce on your sandwich. I think you need to take your medication. This place is owned and operated by lovely people who care about their community and what they serve to the community.
Consistently excellent! We've used them a few times for custom cakes, cupcakes, and lunch to go. Each time we've been really happy with what we've gotten. The cakes and cupcakes are better than what you'll get at a retail bakery, and less expensive too.
Tiny and pricey but the quality of the baked goods make up for that.
