The perfect spot to have breakfast at Santa Helena. You are not going to be disappointed. They have a wide selection of sandwiches, pastries and coffee. The place is cozy and the staff super friendly.
Lovely bakery. We ordered sandwiches as displayed on the menu. The chicken salad on a croissant and the special vegan veggie sandwich on a weat bread . After about 5 minutes they told us that they are our of the croissant and the weat bread. So we substituted. But the bread was still great. The place is at main street and at times very busy.
Every time I'm in Napa, I make it a point to swing by The Model Bakery, and it's mainly for their phenomenal muffins. They've got this way of baking them to perfection – the insides are soft and moist, while the outside has a slight crispness. The variety they offer is great, but honestly, every sandwich I've tried has been top-notch.
And it's not just the plain englishmuffins. Their breakfast sandwiches are the kind of hearty, flavorful start to the day you dream about. Made with fresh, quality ingredients, they're just as much a must-have as the muffins.
The bakery itself has a really welcoming vibe. Walking in to be greeted by the aroma of fresh baking is an experience in itself. Plus, the staff is always friendly and quick to serve, which makes the whole experience even better.
So, in a nutshell, The Model Bakery is one of those places in Napa I just can't skip. Whether it's for a batch of their amazing muffins or a satisfying breakfast sandwich, it's always worth the visit.
A delightful local bakery at the heart of St. Helena. I had some yummy cookies in the afternoon. I want to return to have their fresh homemade pizza, and to have the famous English muffin. Of which I was told is shipped regularly to celebrities like Oprah Winfrey. Coffee is delicious even later in the day. Like I said I want to return to experience and take in more.
I've been lucky enough to come here a few times and each time I've been very happy with that decision. The coffee itself is very good, and the Lavender Latte is one of the very few that hit all of the notes I would want. Not too sweet, but still a bit of flavor.
The baked goods are the reason to come here though. Everything from the Egg-Cheese on an English muffin, the humble croissant, the iced Lemon Poppy Loaf, I could go on.
If you're in wine country and want a great start to your day, start it here!
Best baked English Muffin with butter and jam. The chocolate crossiant is the best.
This could have been a 5 star review - so why not you ask?! The chaos is the answer. It’s pure chaos and mayhem due to popularity it’s packed and multiple lines and doors not knowing who’s coming going etc. So don’t go when you are ‘hangry’ it will get worse. The food is incredible, worth the wait. But definitely would have ordered and ate more if we could relax versus deal with the chaos and pressure of being in stuffy interior and lines of people. Not to mention so many chalkboard boards to read. Seriously - i would rather scan a QR code so I can at least look at one single list and pick my food. No surprise when we got our order and sat outside to eat, they forgotten one of our pastries. Almost a duh! it’s surprising they got the rest of the order correctly. Get a receipt so if something is missing they can better help you. Anyhow… onice you get past all this, you can finally relax and eat the incredible tasty sandwiches and pastries. The English muffin breakfast sandwich with sausage is to die for. I could eat here every morning but the stress they induce with the chaos during ordering process stopped me from doing so. Definitely worth one stop if not more, maybe go when it’s not packed. Enjoy!
Really good bakery! It was a great pit stop for a coffee and pastry. Unfortunately, their hours are wildly incorrect online. They close at 4pm (Thursday) while it says 5:30pm online. We felt rushed eating and drinking our coffee. Otherwise, delicious!
We bought our desserts for New Year’s Eve party at this bakery. Fittingly, they have 2023 cookies that were a hit with the kiddos. The assorted tarts were perfectly flakey (crust) and rich (filling). Service was fast, but place can be a bit crowded.
The food was absolutely delicious! We bought a pumpkin pie from them and we could tell the difference from the other pumpkin pie that was brought to the party. The line was long and out to the sidewalk but it moved quickly; about a 15 minute wait. Unfortunately, the blueberry scone was a little dry but it would probably be great with coffee. The English muffins are worth the wait. Thomas has nothing on them! Oprah knows what's up! I bragged about the English muffins to everyone! Parking is difficult and there is limited seating. The food definitely makes up for it.
