Culinary Outfitters is truly an experience. The atmosphere, setting and views are amazing and from the moment you step into the place you will know that this is the real deal. This restaurant should be up there with the top waterfront restaurants in all of North East Florida. The sunset views here are breathtaking. The food was amazing and the dinner menu was diverse enough for all palates. The price was also fairly reasonable and portions were also generous. There was plenty or parking too! They don't accept reservations so plan accordingly. We went on a Saturday evening right before sunset at 7pm and only waited about 40minutes despite being told it may be up to 1hr and 30min. It was a very nice surprise. Time waiting was also very easy because you can order drinks and either sit at the waiting firepit area or walk around and enjoy the views and scenery and take some photos. This is a great photo op place! Dress up and go with a date, family or friends and take some photos.

Been to this restaurant several times. The views are lovely with lots of outdoor seating. On this day the stormy weather and private party on the deck prevented al fresco dining. Main courses pictured were excellent, however my four star rating is because the Panzanella Salad was a disappointment. Either it was misrepresented on the menu or the kitchen staff just thought it should be made with loads of lettuce and a few grape tomatoes. I expected the traditional Panzanella Salad with tomatoes, onions, maybe some cucumber and fresh basil with croutons or bread soaked in the juice of the tomatoes and dressing.

Culinary Outfitters is a winner. Bravo chef! The food is delicious, the view is beautiful, the and breeze off the water and twinkling lights above provide the perfect ambiance for a fantastic dining experience. My favorite thing on the menu has to be the fried deviled eggs. Don’t leave without trying them.

Going to miss this place! Great food, terrific service, a beautiful space, and terrific views. Someone please open in their place since they closed down so unexpectedly this past week! This pic was from their last night open but had no idea it would be my final visit...

I was very excited to have dinner at Culinary Outfitters as I had heard so many great things. The exterior, interior, and view offered did not disappoint. What a great building and location! Unfortunately, the menu and the food were a big disappointment! The restaurant had changed it's name to Otters and a totally new menu was in place. Instead of a more fine dine experience, the menu was more similar to a Chile's menu and not as good. The crab cakes were an untasty combination of flour and water and were heavy and soggy. The coconut shrimp offered little to no coconut and the panko fried fish looked like it was rolled in bread crumbs and was tasteless. The Manager was friendly and agreeable to speaking with us and credited one of the entrees and apologized. It was such a dissatisfying dining experience that we would not go back. What a shame as the restaurant is beautiful and the setting fantastic!

Shrimp was fantastic! The ribs are like leather had to bring those home and finished them in the crackpot:( Views were amazing and the bartender outside rocks one hell of a painkiller drink and Martini! I'll definitely be back but never getting the ribs again 😕

Nice setting for lunch. It was fun to watch boats being lifted out of the water to be worked on. Outside socially distanced tables were great. Our food was good. Cucumber drink was delicious!

Busy little Restaurant with an Industrial feeling. Services and Food overall good. Lobster Roll tasty but pricey for the portion you getting. Steak frites little overcooked and the Chimichurri Sauce to over powering. Wednesday Rib Special and the Salmon Appetizer excellent. Crab Cake could be better, very dry. Overall very good, the biggest problem is parking. The restaurant moved to a new and much bigger location. Love the new restaurant, beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. But the food need more attention. Shrimp and grits ($25) 7 each 26/30 shrimp around 3 oz. well seasoning over a thin and runny grits accomplished by an under seasoning greens. Nicoise Salad ($18) nice portion of seared Ahi Tuna, served with a large portion of mixed greens, only 2 pieces of pickled green beans, green olives, cherry tomatoes, sliced eggs and sherry vinaigrette. Forgot to put on the fingerling potatoes. Definitely not a Nicoise salad. Ok ok
