New ownership and the food is fabulous!! The bagels are crusty with soft inside, all the bread is made in house and wonderful. Would come in for just the toast and jam, we had the egg, bacon bagel and the foxy scamble - just delicious.

Super precious small business coffee shop and bakery with awesome ambiance. They support many local artisans inside (incredible!) and their brunch was to die for. I ordered the ginger turmeric iced latte with the Carolina lox bagel. My friend ordered the chai latte with one of their specials. Would love to come back!

Cozy little coffee shop! I felt very welcome there and it was a nice, quiet atmosphere. Good coffee, and the salmon bagel was decent. Artsy vibe, friendly staff. Will definitely be back.

Excellent coffee and friendly staff. It is the right atmosphere for a coffee shop. I recommend stopping by and getting a drip coffee or latte. Great homemade bread as well. I would highly recommend using air conditioning as the open doors and windows make it too warm and humid for comfort.

We stopped in for a quick cup of java and we're rewarded with some magic in a cup! My wife had a latte that was spot on, I went for the poor over, but the two they had didn't really appeal to me, so the owner was nice enough to look through some other varieties and found the perfect one. It was fantastic! We didn't have food, but it looked great, something to make another trip for!

Stopped by this delicious place on a work trip through the mountains. The space inside is so wonderful and welcoming. They have a few items for sale that we’re cool and locally made. I got an iced matcha latte with almond milk that was very good and tried their vegan cookie which was also awesome! Recommend you making this a regular stop or trying it out if you’re passing through! They have tasty items on the menu as well!

My new favorite hangout in Spruce Pine. Being born and bred in Spruce Pine I remember starting my love at coffee at DT's (very good and down the street) but Fox and the Fig is where my adult, coffee-loving self craves and yearns for. They use Counter Culture beans which some have voted best beans in the country and they know how to treat them. With their drip coffee, pour-overs and lattes, they treat the coffee with respect and you can taste the difference. They also have one of the best gluten-free peanut butter cookies with sea salt that I have ever eaten. Stop in and hang out for a while! Update* You must also try my new favorite obsession here. English Muffin toast. I buy it by the loaf. Order it with butter and preserves. Also try their biscuits and gravy. You won't be disappointed.

Pour-over coffee and herbal teas. Tasty sandwiches on bread and bagels. Great local art for view and for sale. This place is doing something right. The Buchanan’s (no relation) who run this place have created a cozy retreat in the mountains for starting your morning - or evening - right! A must-go place if you’re in the area and even remotely like coffee or tea. Free WiFi (that’s actually good).
