Mountain View Restaurant

I was driving past Spruce Pine 🌲, NC heading east on a little two lane road and chanced upon this small restaurant. The views were stunning! So I had to stop. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. It was a bit dry and the pretzel roll bun didn’t add anything to the flavor. Next time, I’ll order something else; the stuffed mushrooms looked good. But I gave it a 5 star rating just for the scenery. A lot of motorcycle riders and locals seem to eat here. I like that they have a couple cats that have the run of the place. I’d like to come back in the fall and snow just to take more pictures. Loved it!

Treated my sister here for her birthday. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was calm & scenic. You had the option of sitting inside or outside. Outside you were able to see the Blue Ridge Mountains which was gorgeous. To add, they had a wonderful cat that they had outside keeping the guest company.

Wonderful, it is definitively the best place to spend some quality time with your love ones. Best if you arrive arround sunset time. The views, the food and the service are amazing. Conveniently close to little Switzerland and the blue ridge park way. You need to have some patience on the waiting list but is totally worth the wait and the drive. In fact I would just drive all the way to come back. And the best, the price. This is the type of place you would expect to pay $50 per person but is not. Is perfect. Come and visit these folks you won't regret it. Enjoy

Great little place with yummy food and an amazing view. It’s worth the drive up the mountain. Get there early , before dinner starts as seats are limited. We had the chicken quesadilla and the lightly fried trout. We though the trout was delicious. Very smooth and airy. My husband said the side of bróccoli was delicious with a charred taste but def needed more of it on his plate.

The view, in my opinion,was the Only worthwhile thing at this restaurant. Service was ok. It's small, needs updating,& have longer waits due to small space. The fries were cold and tasted old, my requested "Well done" burger was red and had to be taken back. Not sure why the crowd? Maybe no where else around, or we tried the wrong things? Crab pattie and sweet potato fries were gross! Won't be back, do not reccomend. Ps. Food took a long time to get to us and my burger that was sent back, well.... everyone else was done eating before it returned! Nothing special about the taste either! Sadly disappointed

This place exists for the amazing views. If you don’t go for any other reason, stop by to take in the scenery. The food and atmosphere are OK, but nothing spectacular. Would definitely recommend music to drown out the sound of vehicles coming up the mountain; it was on while we were there but barely audible. Service was friendly and helpful.
