Ocean Garden

I'm absolutely flabbergasted that anyone in their right mind could give this food 5 stars. They must have never traveled out of Springfield and be stoned. The local fast food Chinese chain at least tastes good. I feel sick. I opened the Szechuan beef and it was a container almost entirely of onions and we had to dig for any beef. What little beef there was was chewy. The Tso's chicken tasted frozen nuggets in a BBQ/ketchup sauce. The egg roll was not even in an egg roll wrapper, I don't know what it was, but it was full of mush. The shrimp was greasy and over battered. Not one thing had flavor. The Chinese in the supermarket across the street is even better than this. This is hands down the worst meal I've ever had in my life. I'm trying to call them but keep getting hung up on. Shame on the owners. It's going in the trash.

We’re new to the area and have been sort of discouraged by the quality of the Chinese food nearby. Chinese for Christmas is a tradition but this year I was considering skipping. I’m so glad we didn’t. We ordered the potstickers and the chef fried rice to be safe but were surprised at just how far Ocean Garden exceeded our expectations. The rice was flavorful and chocked full of toppings. The potstickers had a lovely sear on the outside and the pork inside was tender and juicy. I felt at home in this meal, comfy and cozy. As for the service, I missed the projected pick up time and so I showed up nearly an hour early. Despite my mistake, I had my food in about fifteen minutes served with a smile. Definitely a new go to, so glad to have found this place.
