Very pleasantly surprised! Was looking for someplace different as we drove thru Springfield at dinnertime and Pizza Ranch caught my eye on TripAdvisor. We liked that it had good reviews and that it was a buffet, but what cracked me up were all the references to their chicken - not the pizza. I'm here to say the pizza was good, but folks aren't kidding...the chicken was the best I've ever had!! It is a smaller buffet (when compared to Golden Corral right next door) but still had plenty of choices including a variety of veggies, soup and salad bar, pizza bar, and desserts including very creamy ice cream! Yummy. All the food we had was very good and the buffet was kept clean and refilled. The dining area and restrooms were very clean. And as the final bonus we enjoyed Christian music for dinner. Golden Corral has competition now, especially if we are in the mood for pizza or chicken, or want a less hectic and chaotic atmosphere.
I throughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Best chicken I’ve had in a long time! The staff was very friendly and quick to take care of our needs. I’ll definitely go back there when I’m in the Springfield area.

Today we had a baby shower at the Springfield Illinois Pizza Ranch. From beginning to end what a great experience what a fun time not only with our friends and family but with the staff at the pizza ranch. Especially Shyla! She is so peppy and so friendly and so wonderful and helpful and keeping everything caught up and ordering pizzas that we wanted and especially those chocolate chip cookies. And the managers just super but then you talk about the food which is out of this world they have the best chicken and mashed potatoes I have had anywhere. But if you’re looking for a place to take your family or to have a little party go to the Springfield Illinois pizza ranch and ask for Shyla as your server because she is just a darling and you can’t go wrong with anything they’re just a great wonderful bunch of people great time and great food. Once again thank you to the manager and staff and especially my girl Shyla! Love to all! When I come back to visit from Laporte Indiana I will be sure to come and eat great food!!

There was not a huge variety of food to choose from but everything we tried was fresh and very good. I have heard that their fried chicken is good and I must say I wasn't disappointed. The chicken was very moist with a nice outer coating. I would definitely go back.
Very clean. We took a large group and it was great! Plates were cleared quickly. She even brought out cookies for our group. Always fresh food! Live pizza options!

Everyone has been telling me their chicken is good…and it is. Pretty juicy for a buffet chicken. The breadsticks is where it really shined for me. Absolutely wonderfully tasting breadsticks!
Had coupons for free buffets so I cannot rate pricing as of now, but I can tell you that we will most likely be back in the future.

Now I will say it is a small buffet with limited options. Your big buffet is across the street from here, but if you’re craving pizza, chicken, and salads. You’re in the right spot. (There are a few other options as well for sides)
Great food! When we were there it was off hours but they still made sure the food was hot and ready. Good sausage gravy, great tasting chicken and breakfast pizza. New must stop place when we are in town.
Great place for fabulous fried chicken, pizza, salad, then dessert pizza and ice cream! Kids and adults in our family love it! Its a fast eat with a variety for everyone.
