Nice atmosphere. Friendly people. Waiter could have been more attentive. He seemed confused that we would like bean dip with the chips. The chips were blah, the salsa great. I like the Mexican Villa by the art museum better.

Great prices and good food. Our waitress was very polite and knew what she was doing. The restaurant was clean and had nice decor (recently remodeled.)

When I need a hillbilly taco fix, I eat here. It's been a staple in Springfield for a long time....50+ years in my experience. Near and dear to this Ozarkian. Also, their Flying Ace Lager is delicious!

Got the Mexican combo i think was the name of it, it consisted of a Taco an enchilada a tamale and something else and beans and rice it was awesome and so was the service. My female friend that was with me gave the waitress a $20 bill for a tip as she was so nice and very friendly as I am sure the other servers we're just as nice and friendly. I recommend getting this combo it will definitely please your palate and make you wanna go back again, you will love the service and friendly atmosphere. Enjoy!!!

So, I've been eating at this establishment all my life (I'm nearing 51 years old). And today was the first day that I refused to eat something.
I'm not sure if they are under new management or owners, but the quality of the foods (that I ordered) seem lacking.
First of all, the chips which used to be hot, fresh and crispy corn tortillas and now look and taste more like lukewarm shake singles. The white cheese, that was smooth, sweet and hot..this time was thick (to the consistency of carpet glue) and flavorless. Not to mention that I love and I do mean love Spanish/Mexican rice. But this time, it seemed to be an oily, undercooked box of Uncle Ben's.
I am so disappointed that I brought my family here.
I can't blame the host or the server, they were great. But the food quality has taken a down turn.

We were blessed to have Desi as our waitress. To say she was amazing would be an understatement. She was so friendly, polite. Our food came out super fast our drinks never ran empty. Just an all around GREAT EXPERIENCE.!!!!

It’s a unique Springfield restaurant with so many options & it’s all affordable. Be sure to try their different salsas!

This place is pretty popular with my family. It seems to have something for everyone. I always get the Conquistador. It's pretty well priced. We got 2 adult entrées, a kids meal and 2 jars of salsa and spent less than $45 with carry out. Good place to eat if you're wanting Mexican-ish style food. Also they apparently did a remodel and it looks pretty cool. I have not seen inside yet.
