If you want a fancy sit-down restaurant, this is not the place for you. Yes it has an eat-in area, but it's simple, spartan. But if what you care about is fresh, tasty sushi every time at a price that beats every other place in N. Virginia that I've tried, then Rawr Sushi is the place for you. A definite plus is a friendly staff, the kind that gets to know you and greet you by name and sushi preferences. They have made me a loyal and happy regular customer.
Probably one of the best sushi in the area and cheap too can't beat that. Highly recommend them. Restaurant isn't the fanciest but the sushi is on point!
I don't eat sushi, but there are lots of other reasonably priced items on the menu. I got the Pork Tonkatsu Bowl ($9), a delicious fried pork chop over rice that comes with a cup of Miso Soup. This tiny restaurant is busy and just has a few tables, but the waiting time isn't too long. This was my first time here, but most of the sushi-eating customers were obviously regulars who know a good deal.
Stars aren’t enough to describe how good this place is. Customer service was excellent, owners definitely are about their customer’s experience. Food was fresh and tasty. Quite the experience. And best of all, family owned business. Will come back!
Super good quality for an amazing price. The man at the counter was also very nice. The rolls are huge, and the filling to rice ratio is great. Highly recommend!!!
Went in for the 2 roll lunch special to go. Everything was great! Super fresh and the miso soup was a nice surprise. Great deal for the price.
Reminds me of my favorite Mom&Pop places in SF. I've had much worse sushi and Japanese food for a lot more money. Great value, delicious, simple food, and super duper nice, real people running this establishment. The eel avocado was amazing...beautifully ripe avocado and perfectly grilled unagi. The unagidon ($19) featured two generous pieces of unagi and shrimp tempura roll was warm and crispy when it was served to me. Join their always growing fan base. You will not be disappointed. This is the perfect place to stop before going to the brand new Springfield Whole Foods and making bad , hangry shopping decisions!
We're sushi lovers & searched for a new spot to try, not disappointed at all.
You walk in, order & there is quaint sitting area to dine in. We were sat and served a very yummy miso soup.
We ordered the Fantastic 4 platter, delicious! Not long wait at all. Everything was very good & fresh. Personal favorite? The dragon roll.
We enjoyed the friendly staff & service. It was just what we were looking for. Plan on returning for sure. Stop in, order out or dine in. Thank you, RAWR Sushi!!
A really nice and cozy Japanese restaurant, with indoor seating and takeout options.
The place is well-kept and the owners go above and beyond to make your food and stay worth it. The spicy miso soup was amazing, especially for the price.
All in all, great for ramen runs or meals with the family.
Just moved to the area looking for good affordable places to eat and RAWR Sushi knocked it out of the (Jurassic) park! Fantastic bento boxes and ramen. Sushi was fresh and tasted amazing as well. Definitely a go to!
Small cozy little sushi spot in Springfield. The people running the place are so friendly and likeable. Food came put quickly and tasted amazing. Very fresh fish with nice presentation. Prices are great as well! One of my favorite spots for sushi 🍣 😍
Went for a quick dinner out. Amazing sushi and great service at a great price. Can't wait to go back!
