This is one of my favorite places to get some quick Chinese takeout in the area not because it is amazing the food is pretty standard Chinese takeout, but the staff is friendly, the serving size is good and price is reasonable. We've been getting take out from here since the pandemic started. The take out is always great and the service is always friendly.The fried dumplings and Singapore fried rice are delicious. My son loves the kung Pao tofu.
We've never been in to eat so can't say anything about the atmosphere but we order from here a lot and love the all the people and the food. I'm assuming that since all of the folks that deliver to us and the people we talk to on the phone when order are so nice, the atmosphere there must be nice as well.
John, the owner, is awesome! He takes great pride in always serving fresh and delicious food. My go to Chinese take out joint.

Best Place I know for Chinese carryout (they do have seating). Always tastes great. So many similar places just don't get the flavor or level of spiciness. I have a restaurant 5 minutes away but I drive 20 minutes to Hong Kong Express because the food is superior.
The combination lo mein is so good and flavorful! Not dry at all! And they give you a lot. Egg drop soup is also good! Will definitely be ordering again!
Our family has been ordering food here for many, many years and it is the best #1 Chinese food restaurant in the Nova area. Delicious, fresh food, fast and amazing service! Definitely worth your time to try it out, it'll become your favorite place too

By far this is the best Chinese carry out in Northern VA. I have at at 100's of places around the country and they rank in top 5. Flavors are just right, right amount of sauce and as Hot and Sour Soup enthusiast they are in tops. You cannot go wrong with this place. (there are other Hong Kong Express with different owners but they are similarly good.)
I've always had good experiences with Hong Kong Express. It's easy to order using the Beyond Menu app, my order is always ready quickly and the food is delicious. The people at Hong Kong Express are always friendly and cheerful. This is my go -to place for Chinese carry-out!
