Whiptail Grill

Our first stop when we arrived in town, after a day of flights and driving to Zion this place hit the spot. It's a smaller restaurant with limited indoor seating but their menu is amazing! We ordered the nachos, shrimp, steak and pork tacos for three of us. Portions are perfect for a hungry hiker. Service was quick! Definitely a stop to make while in Zion

My family loved this place so much we ate here twice on vacation instead of trying something new haha! The view, the service, and the food were all incredible! Would highly recommend the Whiptail Burrito, Surf and Turf “Whiptail Style”, and the Barbecue Bacon Gouda Burger. The serving sizes were great! I shared the burrito and the surf and turf with my mom and it was plenty of food to share.

The service here is so friendly, thoughtful, and surprisingly quick considering their constraints (it’s a popular place, with a teeny tiny kitchen). We had a short 10 minute wait on the benches outside before being seated inside. Our server was Ludo and he and the food runners were absolutely amazing. My husband had the BBQ ribs special and I *thoroughly* enjoyed the vegetarian menu item: the spaghetti squash enchiladas. Both came with a first course side salad with the most delicious avocado cilantro lime dressing. Note: Alcohol is limited to beer and wine only.

Amazing! We visit Zion every year & have been since 1997. We finally found a great restaurant & hope it stays! The customer service is great! The food is even better! We ordered a chicken sandwich w/ sweet potato fries & a vegetarian taco salad. The sweet potato fries are amazing! Crisp on the outside & they melt in your mouth. The sandwich had the perfect amount of sauce & flavor. The taco salad had an amazing vinaigrette dressing which was perfect & light after a long day of hiking. The tortilla with the taco salad was delicious! Everything was great! We hope to come back every year!

Enjoyed the food and atmosphere so much that we came back the next day! The food is unique and so tasty. Sitting outside in the cool fall air with tower heaters on was perfect after a day of hiking. We enjoyed it so much that we came back and tried something new the next day. Super friendly staff too!

Wow! I was completing the Mighty 5 and had a lot of great food along the way, but this was the best! The service was outstanding. It was very busy, for a reason. The special that night was pork with Jalapeno and mango salsa, I wished I lived here so I could have it again (they said it was moving to the menu). After a long day in the park, this was perfect, don't pass it up!

Staff was kind. There was a bit of a wait (15 mins) but the lady give me water promptly without me asking for it. That was appreciated as it was very hot outside! I saw outside. They have this mist that sprays automatically but you could still feel the heat. I ordered the burger with avocado and peppers with sweet potato fries. The burger was good (it wasn’t my preference the peppers in it so I removed it) those sweet potato fries were GOOD! Best texture and flavor. I’d go back for the fries most definitely. Price is typical for the area I think. Beautiful backdrop.

I loved this place when I came in here. I ordered a couple of beers and drank about 4 glasses of water after hot day of hiking up Angel's Landing. For dinner, I ordered a the southwest chicken sandwich, which was terrific. On the side, I got sweet potato fries. There is seating outside as well. So the atmosphere is pretty cool. One thing I did not like was walking outside to go to the bathroom, which did not have AC. It was 105 degrees outside and felt like 205 degrees inside this restroom. Overall though, good food and good vibes.
