Tesoro Beach Restaurant

One of our favorite spots for lunch or dinner. Owner is super nice and so are the other employees. The owner is always smiling and brings a fantastic energy to brighten the atmosphere. Today we had a soup and something off the breakfast menu. The fried plantains were SO good with the Crema. We’ll be back, again and again!

I was there and the service started good then went downhill fast. The owner seems solely focused on big groups. Filling their drink orders and sides at will. My guy and I had to wait so long before I had to waive a person down and she told me only the owner can take the orders. Finally a waitress did. The orders were okay. Mine was missing sides but I didn’t care at this point. We asked for a Togo box and the owner seems so insistent on tending to large groups she would reach for one and he sent her back to filling drink orders. I think he’s a okay guy but probably trying to save money by staying understaffed. I watched a few people sit down and then walk across the street to El Cuñado which is what we shoulda done. God forbid if we had been on a lunch break. We had to go up to the register and remind the waitress what exactly we ate lol so she could charge us properly. Finally 2 hours later we are leaving the place. I hope the owner reads this and makes this service quality better before it’s too late.

Horrible, horrible place. The food is alright BUT they always mess up orders. So it’s not worth coming here. It’s been twice that they do this. We waited more than an hour for our food. I’m not exaggerating. Some of my family members got their food while others had to wait and watch eat. We never got water or sides after asking for them more than once. My family members and I had to get up various times to ask for the sides again. I felt so bad for the waitress. She was so kind and was sweating because of how hard she was working. They seem understaffed but it always seems to be this way. It’s honestly just not worth coming here.

One waitress for the entire restaurant. Didn't get any silverware so we sat there staring at our food for 5 min. before anyone came over to figure out why we weren't eating. My son didint get him enchiladas until AFTER we got silverware, then they didnt bring him any silverware, so he had to go find someone to get a fork. Didn't refill any drinks. The menu said $9.99 for chicken fajitas and they charged us $14.99. If you use a card, they charge a $3 fee. Food was VERY salty. Guacamole was chunks of avocado with a little onion, not blended up. $5 for a tiny bowl of queso. We are not from around here but we will not go back if we are ever in the area again.
