Love the traditional menu at the China Cottage Springboro location. Even though the restaurant interior is beautiful and the service is great, I usually just swing by for take out. Their food is consistently delicious and they've never messed up my order.
The steak skewers appetizer and the sizzling chicken were both spectacular. Huge portions at affordable prices, wonderfully complex flavors, and beautiful plating. Top notch!
I think this is the best Chinese in the Dayton area! The food is excellent, prices are reasonable (especially for the great quality) and the service is excellent as well.
Such a good choice if you’re looking for good Chinese! We got the orange chicken and sesame chicken. The orange chicken was the best we’ve ever had and we eat A LOT of Asian food. The sides (rice, egg drop soup, wonton soup, egg rolls) were also superb.
The service was great and it had a nice atmosphere. Fancy-ish but not too posh (we weren’t dressed up). The prices are also quite reasonable which we appreciated - around $15-$20 unless you get seafood.
Definitely recommend if you like good Chinese!!
I took my best friend here for her birthday and was impressed with the variety of food on the menu. I had the Cottage (orange) Chicken; my friend had the Cashew Chicken and we shared crab rangoons. Food was hot when it arrived. The server was attentive with refilling our drinks even though the restaurant was fairly busy. Really reasonable prices considering the amount of food they provide. I would definitely stop by again if I am in town.
I ordered the Golden Calamari, potstickers, and crab Rangoon. The calamari was delicious, super spicy. The potstickers were the biggest I've ever seen but honestly not much flavor! The sauce that came with them helped. Crab Rangoon was not good at all. If you like sweet crab Rangoon you might like this but it tastes like cheesecake and I was not a fan. Food was hot and ready when promised. Will go back to try other things but the only thing I'd reorder is the calamari from this order.

Great authentic Chinese food! This is the to go place for dinner every time I visited Cincinnati area. The food is authentic and delicious. Lots.of variety to pick from. Highly recommended!

I just moved to Dayton and the first place I visited after my first week was China Cottage. I really wanted chicken wings but nothing caught my eye. This place just popped out. The food looked so good and tantilizing🤤🤤. I was like pops on Friday, “yeaaaa boi”. Its right up the road so hopped in Black Thunder (my truck) and cruised to the grubbery. I get there and its plenty of people walking in and out so im like “ ok China Cottage, i see you out here doing big thangs”. At this point i already knew it was a good choice. I go inside and of course it was a nice atmosphere with decor and all that. I was met with a courteous greeting and she directed me to the bar to order because it was to-go. I order and wait not too long, i get my food in a nicely designed bag. I get home and get settled in, pull out the food and boy i tell you what, in my Hank Hill voice, those portions are for the hungry!! I was like 14 bucks well spent!The flavor was at the pinnacle of greatness. A tear was shed from weary, war torn eyes, and an American Eagle perched on my window, also with a tear in its weathered eye. I definitely recommend this place. That is all!
Kai was a amazing waiter, the food was delicious. If you don't like the food here every Chinese place will be different not all are the same like fast food and chipotle. The Mongolian beef is not sweet but has a little bit of a delicious spice to it. Even the inside was nice fish tanks too beautiful art and Design I actually felt like I was in China the music was beautiful nice and calm I wish they would play some Chinese music as well. I also like how they have no muscle shirt while dining in.
I love China cottage but today's lunch wasn't as good as it usually is. Our waitress, Nina, Was absolutely amazing, very sweet, attentive, and did an amazing job taking care of her guest. Typically 5 stars...
Fast service, tasty food. The BEST crab Rangoons I’ve ever experienced. They literally melt in your mouth and you have a choice of two sauces either hot or sweet. Hot tea is wonderful.
Probably the best Chinese food anywhere. Loved the lunch specials. Waitress was friendly and provided excellent service!
Everything about this place is amazing. Super chill atmosphere. The food is always amazing, and the service is always top-notch. I drive over an hour to eat here and it's always worth the drive.

China Cottage has always been one of my favorite restaurants. I usually go to the one in Kettering but a friend took me to the Springboro location for my birthday! I ordered Crab Rangoon and Mala Chicken, my friend ordered crispy sesame beef and sizzling rice soup. Everything was delicious and our server was excellent!
Best Chinese restaurant I've ever eaten at. The atmosphere is comfortable, relaxing, and the service is top notch. The food is freshly prepared and the portion sizes are big enough to have a little take ~home bag!
