I was so excited to try this place. I am a huge fan of chicken N more and sole food places in Spokane are very far and in between. First the atmosphere is great. Extremely friendly staff and cute uniforms and a very colorful restaurant with outside dinning available. The place looks amazing. Now for the food. I’ll be honest I didn’t really like it. I mean I’m not going back this restaurant. The bbq Sauce is very sweet and the baked beans taste more like a sweet chili then baked beans. The ribs fall of the bone but the seasoning just ruined it for me. The fried green tomatoes had no taste. The chicken also had zero flavor. The
Potato salad was my favorite thing out of the whole meal. You may enjoy the food but for me a Spokane native I don’t have a lot to compare it to as far as soul food. I do wish these guys success and hope they stay strong. Spokane needs a cultured place like this. It’s just not my cup of tea.

I have been on the hunt for some fried chicken in Spokane. Sadly this is not the place, but the ribs were fantastic. It’s a cool looking place on the outside, and inside it has a nice vibe. Most importantly they have a great mission of helping out their community. Would certainly return again for the ribs!

Just heard about this restaurant. Had to try it since not many restaurants cook southern food. Upon arrival, I had the feeling it was going to be great. Boy I was right. Their bbq ribs are mouth watering, fried chicken perfectly done, yummy cornbread, and delicious desserts. You have to try it. The staff is great, reasonable prices and a great cause....for the community 👏

I grew up in the south, this place reminds me of home. Hands down best ribs in Spokane. Fried chicken isn’t weighed down with loads of batter and it’s seasoned all the way through. Potato salad as good as mom’s if not better. Please don’t tell my mom. Staff was friendly and efficient plus there mission is to help the community and youth. I would give them 10 stars.

Food was great. Chicken was juicy and tasty, collard greens were out of this world, red beans and rice delicious, potato salad was very good, rib sandwich was also very good, fried green tomatoes were also out of this world! The only disappointment was no Mac and cheese available....oh well hopefully next time??

Loving this place! Probably the best greens in Spokane. Chicken done perfectly, ribs fall of the bone. Best of all it’s priced well and I love Fresh Soul’s mission to help the East Side Community. Get you some!!

Awesome food and great to see them training kids for the world. Good job, y'all. That catfish was 5 star... so was the corn bread... and the beans and rice.... and the tea... Keep up the great work in the community.
