Taco John's

So I don’t like to make reviews because I work with food personally, but I feel after going a week with no call back I should. So my husband and I went on Monday December 28th at around 8:45pm. They were still only accepting cash which I had no problem with. We went to order and our order was a 2 soft shell meal medium with a Pepsi no ice with cheese for the lord my order. For my husband two quesadilla tacos chipotle flavor with medium ones and sour cream and a dr.pepper no ice. I usually check the order but I’m in my first trimester pregnancy and the Oles overpowered my senses and I couldn’t keep my face in the bag without throwing (nothing wrong with how they smelt just morning sickness) when we got home I passed out the food to find I had received no soft shells at all my husband got his food but I only had my okra and drink. I called right away so about 9:58 I think which I know they close at 10 due to our drive home. I gave it a two star because the man on the phone seemed nice and understanding and assured me he’d take my information and I’d get a call the next day we’ll a week in still haven’t gotten a call. My husband doesn’t like taco John’s and he only goes for my sake so to say he was livid was and understatement. I would honestly just like a refund at this point. Hopefully others have had better luck.

Stopped at the Spencer Iowa Taco Johns on Sunday September 22. The lady that took my order was pretty interested in telling me about her arms that hurt then taking my order. When she came to the counter she said something to another employee and then says to me that she was sorry for being unprofessional. I ordered and gave her my name for the order, stepped back to wait. The employees behind the counter were yelling to one another and the older lady calling out what was needed for the orders seemed upset. I watched as people came in and a few orders were delivered for dine in. I was not the only one waiting as there was 2 in front of me and 1 after me. I waited, and waited and waited and finally after 30 minutes walked up to the counter and asked for my money back. I had used my debit card but the older lady didn’t know how to refund on a debit/credit so she gave me cash and stated that she was doing the best she could. Before doing that another customer had come in and the young man behind the counter yelled back to one of his employees and then asked the lady what she would like to order and she said never mind I will go someplace else. As she walked out the door she looked and me and rolled her eyes. I would say that this place needs new management and staff. Don’t know if the older lady was the day manager or what but maybe should check out retiring. I know I will not be going to the place any time soon.

It has been awhile since I have gone here not because of the virus but just poor food and service just overall the food tastes like old grease. Now yesterday I used the drive thru just because my wife wanted to give them another chance. I'm a little hard to pull back over from the dark side ☺️☺️ she requested a taco salad and some tatto oles. I did that with what I had doubt. Got home with everything. My wife told me that the taco salad was the best she had from there and the potatoes were terrific. I said of course when I don't get it. It was perfect. I told her well when I pull up to order right from the start there seemed to be something different. This gal was nice to me got me all taken care of and I pulled up to pick it up and she looked at me and told me the price and said and I giving you a senior discount even though you don't look it with a smile. Of course I'm 68 so bless this person's heart. I asked if she could put some extra seasoning in the potatoes and to make it easy she give me a little container of it because I couldn't resist and I got and order also. This visit looks like to me that Taco John's has done some work. Terrific job you guys and keep it just like this visit. Make a point to stop out there.👍👍👍👍👍

I'm not much a fan of the beef here but the crunchy chicken is great. I like the crunchy chicken and potato burritos best. Typically pretty good service minus some confusion when newer employees are working. But that's to be expected anywhere I suppose. All in all, a decent experience at a decent price

I love the food but the fact you messed up the order by not getting her all the food she ordered and after she called and said what happened, you guys just got mad and hung up. We already reported you guys to corporate. I'll never eat or get food there ever again. Hope whoever hung up gets fired. This has happened several times every year we get food here.
