Great country food - real mashed potatoes - pot roast, homemade desserts - I eat there often and have never had anything that was not good. Always quickly served and friendly waitresses.

The food is excellent. Our waitress Maya compliments is like a cherry on top of a pile of ice cream. She takes care of us and is always there to help reccomend something new. Come for the food, and if you get a chance, stay for the people!

My husband and I just left from having our evening meal at Kanpai Japanese Restaurant in Sparta Mountain, the service was outstanding, the food was hot and fresh. We ordered the F7 from the entree menu which was awesome. The bathrooms were spotless and atmosphere was very pleasant. Hope to go back soon. The Huffman family. Elkin

The food is always good. The staff is friendly. We eat here at least once a week. They only have take out right now as the pandemic has been going on for 7 months. I will continue to support them as this is best place in Sparta, NC to eat.

We ordered teriyaki chicken and sushi for takeout. The sushi was quite good and tasted fresh. The chicken was very good, the chicken and vegetables are served on a big pile of fried rice with a side of carrots, and soup and salad. We requested 2 soups (with no salad) because the soup is great!

Just got done eating here and the food was delicious...only complaint I have is they don't serve enough rice with your meal. I had to order another side order of rice which I shared with my children and still wasn't enough but we made it work. Lots of meat though...would eat here again if in the area. I had ordered the teriyaki chicken and shrimp.

Best Japanese restaurant within 100 miles of Sparta! Nothing ive tried wasnt good! Vast selection, very reasonably priced and the sweet usual waitress is the best! Highly recommend, you will not be sorry!!

We LOVE to eat at KANPAI !!! They have delicious food, served in a newly remodeled restaurant, by a very friendly wait staff! Maya & others make wonderful SUSHI rolls on weekends!!! It's like having a little Japan in our small town!

Best Salad bar in Alleghany Co. Of course the food is great, I eat there often. If it was anywhere but Sparta, the place would be packed on the regular. Highly recommend.
