Make your reservations early, this place can be challenging to get into. As you walk in the place is clean and the staff is friendly. As you look at the menu the prices are normal for this type of restaurant. They do not have sushi, iwas hoping for some higher end sushi to start with. While taking our order the waitress commented that they are known for their fried rice ($5 extra per plate) while decent I was not impressed and wouldn't advertise this as (known for). Minus 1 star for the up sell of this item. The sides: Salad and dressing were standard. Soup had rehydrated mushrooms but good flavor. Grilled sides were simple & had a great flavor Drinks: Standard No special teas or interesting items. Main: I had filet mignon It was tender and the best part of the meal. The cook needs a lesson in what "rare" means, it was over cooked, closer to medium. Desert: An odd tasting 3 flavor sherbert. Entertainment: What you see in my photos was the highlight of the of the grilling. This style of restaurant is known for creative cooking and entertainment. For a price tag of $150 for 2 adults and a 2 y.o. I expected more, our cook mostly made alot of noise by banging his spatula on the grill and spinning an egg with his hands. Minus 1 star for lack of enthusiasm and entertainment. 1 star for location, there are not many places like this in the south end of Tacoma. Conclusion: I have been to many grill in front of you type restaurants, this is the least of my favorites. I hope this not only helps the consumer but offers some insight to the restaurant as well.

We came in from out of town and had dinner here. This was such an awesome experience. Our hostess/waitress Ronni was awesome. She explained everything with a very upbeat attitude and interacted well with all of us. I forgot the chefs name unfortunately, but he was excellent and fun as well. The food was beyond great and very fun to watch being made. Will definitely come back when we are back in the area. Thanks to all for making our night.

I came here with my family (party of 8) to celebrate my birthday and we were very impressed and entertained by our chef, Minh (not sure if that's the correct spelling). He was very interactive with our young kids. This was my second time here but the first time was over 9 years ago when I first moved to the area, but it was as great of environment and experience as ever. The only thing I would comment is that our server (middle aged lady), maybe brought the ice cream and take-out boxes a little early as we just started eating after the main course was cooked and the chef cleaned/departed.

Honestly had a smug guy serve/chef and making our food sucked. Talked about personal issues to get tips. He didn’t provide a show, which I brought my kids to see. First time there, but have been in there thinking of the same type of establishments. Table next to us got the whole treatment, not at mine. Watch which chef you have. Spent a lot for special occasion but got diner service at Denny’s. Beware!

If I could give zero stars I would. I've spent soo much money going there over the last couple of years and this is the THIRD time they've taken my information for a reservation and then upon showing up...they apparently didn't have it. I called on Wednesday 6/1...they asked for the same information as usual...name, party number, and phone number....and wouldn't ya know....tonight...upon arrival and my BIRTHDAY the person that took my reservation on 6/1 didn't write down my reservation. So I was sent away in front of my family. I'm disappointed and embarrassed. I loved this place but after this, I'm done. Ive recommended this place to so many people and I will never do it again.. Make sure they read your info back and make SURE you get the name of whoever you speak to upon making the reservation or else they send YOU away for THEIR mistake.
