Great Seafood restaurant in Southport, NC. Tons of parking available. Price is competitive. Nice atmosphere and staff. The view of the ocean is great. Must try when visiting.

Great food, great service. The spinach salad was amazing and the safe haven was tasty, I did not enjoy the bacon wrapped scallops , which were dry. I am not a fan of plastic cups instead of glassware, which cheapens the experience.

Server Kody was behind. Drinks took a while. Salmon was over cooked (x2). Coconut shrimp over cooked. Hush puppies to die for.

This was our first taste of Southport during our first trip to the NC coast. We had a party of 6 including 2 elderly people & a 4 year old. The views are amazing and the building was accessible by elevator. Our waitress was so sweet & attentive. She took our 4-year olds order when she got our drinks. His chicken tenders came out with the drinks which was great for a hungry kiddo. We started with delicious hush puppies. Among us we had the lobster Mac, coconut shrimp, the galley combo, & popcorn shrimp. All of our food left us stuffed with extras left over. We would definitely return & enjoyed watch ships sail through the harbor. We had a beautiful evening and a wonderful first time in Southport!

Updated July 30, 2023. Got a spot in the parking lot and took the elevator up. On a Saturday around 5:30 PM, and my party of two got the best table in the place at around 6:30 PM. While waiting we sat on the upper deck while to sun was out the sky was beautiful with a steady breeze. When we got seated there was hush puppies and honey butter served. We ordered a chicken pot pie and a Cajun Shrimp wrap. Got to see one of the largest cargo ships from the Hapag Lloyd line we ever saw come down the Cape Fear River and do that crazy left "S" turn in the channel going to the ocean. Even though we were told that they were short staffed in the kitchen, the orders came out in a timely way. This is the best view of the whole area!!!

Got into the restaurant around 4:30 and got the best table in the place. Saw the sun setting over the Cape Fear River looking west to east with a south views of the marine lane to the Cape Fear River. Got the basket of hush puppies with honey butter soon after being seated. Ordered a bowl of Frying Pan Chowder with the $17.95 fish platter grilled. Got the plate with fish, fries and Cole slaw. Also ordered their cheesecake which was perfect light texture. Saw the outside turn from setting sun to night time while watching the boats come in with their lights on into the inter coastal water way on their way to the docks and moorings for the night. The service was good and the food came quickly for a sit-down meal. Some of the food was amazing and some was inedible.

The meal was fantastic, even down to the little biscuit that came with the crab legs. Service was top notch. We'll definitely be back again. We went to the other restaurant down the street on our last trip but this one is our favorite of the two. And you can't beat the views at sunset! One more thing...didn't really don't g the alligator bites. It was the texture. Tastes like bland chicken.
