Delicious food and the location is within a nice outdoor shopping district. I had the general tsao bowl - so good! Hubby had the braised short rib - melt in your mouth! What I actually loved the most though was the great kid’s menu*. We don’t come across those often - the fact that you can actually pick healthy options and choose from a good assortment of sides (besides just fries and greasy stuff). I very much appreciate that they put some extra thought into the kids menu and hope more places follow suite.
*Grabbed a screenshot from their website of the kid’s menu for reference.

I came solo (business traveler) and sat in the bar area at a high top table. The place was lively yet upscale. Bartender Chad was FANTASTIC! He made me a "fruity and fun, surprise me" drink and it was perfect!
I'm a meat n potatoes Midwestern gal and I was torn between the braised short ribs and the filet mignon--coincidently his 2 favorites as well. He said it's a tough decision and thought a few seconds and recommended the the braised ribs. It was DELICIOUS! Meaty, tender, and great with the horseradish sauce. I also added the side of Mac n cheese because I've gotta try it everywhere I go! 🤣 It was good at well but the short rib stole the show!
Chad was attentive even though the bar was full! Great service; great food. Will be back next time I'm in town because no doubt I'll be dreaming of these short ribs!

Never disappoints! We started with drinks, salad, and apps. The Cesar was excellent. The General Tso's cauliflower was magic. We went with seafood tonight. The salmon was delightful. The broccoli was tender but firm with a bright green color; just perfect. The haddock with crab over brussel sprouts and rice was yum. Saved room for dessert. Huge slice of chocolate cake and a sweet and crunchy key lime pie.

I've heard good things and read good reviews about Burton's, so I figured we would give it a shot tonight. We were greeted by the hostess, who wasn't exactly what you would call warm and inviting. Destiny was our server, and she provided great service throughout. We started with a shareable rustic roll served with pesto, herbed garlic butter, and olive tapenade. Delicious. She had the chicken cordon bleu with not so garlicky mashed potatoes and green beans. It had a nice flavor, containing one thin slice of prosciutto and a bit of provolone. A rather non-existent (dried up) lemon-butter sauce sat atop the small, flat medallions. There is a reason why the prosciutto and cheese are usually rolled up into the chicken....its's so they stay moist, althewhile flavoring the chicken as it cooks. Once again, it was tasty though. I rather enjoyed my 12 oz strip steak, which was perfectly cooked. I looked forward to savoring the bone marrow butter, but when served there was only one small swath of it in the center of the steak. Very tasty nonetheless, as was the steak. They ran out of brussel sprouts so that was a bit of a bummer. Some may think the steak was a little heavily seasoned with salt, but that is to my liking so I didn't mind it. As we walked out, the 3 girls congregating at the hostess station didn't even seem to notice us as we passed by about three feet away. No "have a nice night" or "thanks for coming". Not a huge deal, but not ideal either. Not sure we will be back, but it was decent all in all.

A timeless example of what fine dining should be. This establishment manages to maintain the highest quality for classic dishes like Filet Mignon or Chicken Picatta. The food was delicious and the service was concise and friendly. I would give this my highest rating and is a must try for a nice dinner out.

This was the first restaurant that I ate in Connecticut. It was more a date with my now wife, who was raving about this place. I have to say she wasn't wrong about this one unlike any other time.
Our go to dessert is the key lime pie. Ever since I ate this it is one of my favorite desserts and we eat this to celebrate most occasions like birthdays, anniversary, boredom, weekends, passing by near the restaurant.....we basically are looking for a reason to eat this.
The key lime pie has the right amount of sweetness, bitterness, tartness and crunchiness. I could just eat it everyday but it's almost $12 and it's worth every penny of it.
I recommend this place for a family night, date night, office lunch, meeting friends or special occasions. The food is consistently good with good ambience in a great location where you can actually walk around if you have a wait to get seated.

Went with my wife and daughter for an early dinner around 5:30 PM and were able to be seated outdoors with no delay. The service was great, and the food was delicious but not overpriced. Highly recommend

Really enjoyed our first visit to Burtons Grill. We had reservations and were seated immediately upon arrival on a busy Saturday night. Food was great from appetizers to dessert, including the swordfish which was cooked perfect. Our server was excellent and understanding of special dietary needs. We'll be back.
