Nothing Bakes Like A Parrott

Best dessert table we've seen! Nothing Bakes Like a Parrott provided the desserts for a wedding we photographed this past weekend at the Inn on Peaks Island. Thankfully there was a sign to not indulge in the desserts until after dinner or I don't think we would have been able to photograph it! The desserts FLEW off the table with guests going back for seconds (and thirds - but you didn't hear that from me!). Gorgeous presentation too and a huge variety of sweets! Jessica was amazingly incredible! She made our wedding dessert experience such a highlight for us. She was organized, friendly, and produced blow-your-mind DELICIOUS products! There were many food allergies (gluten-free, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, etc.) that she was able to account for and created pure delight in dessert form. The cake was beautiful and delicious. The cake pops were, quite frankly, the hit of the night. The presentation was perfect. On top of all of that, working with her through a COVID-year delay was easy, and stress-free. Hire her!

I cannot say enough good things about Nothing Bakes like a Parrot! She was so easy to get ahold of and made the planning process easy! My wedding guests raved about the desserts! Our cutting cake came out exactly how I wanted and not only was it picture perfect but it was delicious. We had left over cake pops and mini pies and I can’t stop eating them! Honestly, some of the best cake pops and pies I’ve ever had. If your looking for a bakery to do your wedding sweets, look no further!

Jessica from Nothing Bakes Like a Parrott is the best! Not only did she design a wedding cake for us that exceeded our expectations in both design and flavor, she was incredibly accommodating and supportive every step of the way, from our tasting to our wedding day delivery. She handled the logistics of a postponement and an island wedding beautifully, and we are so grateful that we chose her to make our wedding cake. We had guests commenting all night on how delicious the cake was and would hands down hire Jessica again!

What can I say... Jenny made the wedding cake experience the most fun part of wedding planning! My husband and I spent the afternoon enjoying delicious cupcakes and then went home with dozens of samples of the various other deserts we wanted to add to our wedding! On the wedding weekend, Jenny was spectacular! Her display was gorgeous, the desserts were a hit! The only deserts that were leftover were eaten before the end of brunch the next day! You cannot go wrong with Nothing Bakes Like a Parrot!

Nothing Bakes Like a Parrot was so great to work with! I initially found them as we were getting married in Southern Maine and I have food allergies so after searching and searching I finally found them and knew they would be able to cater to my allergies yet still create amazing cupcakes for our wedding! I'm so glad I found them. They were terrific to work with from the tasting in their bakery to them delivering the cupcakes right to our venue to the AMAZING cupcakes they baked for us. Our guests still rave about their cupcakes and we already can't wait to eat the ones we froze for our first wedding anniversary! I can't recommend Nothing Bakes Like a Parrott enough!

Jessica baked us a fantastic tasting, beautifully decorated three-tiered cake for our wedding on Peaks Island and it was delivered without incident (this whole delivery to an island thing was difficult for many of our vendors to figure out!) Jessica was really nice during our tasting ~6 months before the wedding and provided samples of roughly 10 different cake and icing combinations. The pricing for the cake was reasonable as well. Most importantly, the cake tasted fabulous! Every guest that I spoke to also mentioned how much they enjoyed the cake! I've been to some weddings where the cake was just a side thought, but this cake was a hit! My wife called Jessica three weeks before the wedding and asked if she could create a cake of our dog Lincoln. He wasn't going to be in the wedding but we wanted him to be there in spirit so she got me a Groom's cake and it turned out awesome! She sent her a couple pictures and Jessica went to work. Everyone thought it was awesome! We ate this cake for our 4th of July party and it tasted great a month later. We would recommend Nothing Bakes Like a Parrott to anyone getting married, having a birthday celebration, graduation or any other event. Thanks Jessica!

When I looked at the Nothing Bakes Like a Parrott Instagram page, I was simply amazed! If you can think it, they can definitely design it! The cake tasting appointment was so much fun. It was almost too hard to make a decision on flavors. We definitely ended up with the wedding cake of our dreams. It was so beautiful & delicious!
