El Toro Loco

we loved this place The girls working there were super busy and doing everything but we still had the service we needed food is super fresh and delicious The guacamole is a little bit spicy and has just a smidge too many tomatoes the cilantro rice is really really good. they have great tequila choices too. The skirt steak was absolutely delicious. better than the steak we had the previous night at one of the best steakhouses in New York. that was really interesting 😂

Let’s start with the trio dip….the queso is really good, delicious. The salsa has a good kick to it and the guacamole is basic but good. Loved the chips for the dip. The margaritas are very sweet and sugary, so if you’re into that you’re in for a treat. The tres leches was my favorite part. Don’t get the yuca fritas….undercooked and not crispy. I would come here again, lots of good vegan and vegetarian options.

I just want to say I was at el toro loco this past Tuesday for Taco Tuesday as I always go out with family on Tuesdays. I had an extremely bad experience. We were sitting all the way to the right when you walk in and there was a cockroach on the window sill which I was disgusted but try to ignore, One minute later I see one on my table. I was not pleased by the way this was handled at all. I took one bite before seeing the roach on the table. I was given 50% off my check with my family and I, but everything went to waste because we were all disgusted and unable to eat. Not to mention the first waitress we told acted like it was no big deal and said “ oh let me throw that out for you” until we said “no please let us speak to someone else” There’s one thing of having fruit flies etc but rodents is unacceptable and a health code violation. I hope we can discuss this further because I was not pleased at all.

Very cool ambience, great service, amazing food and delish margaritas! Loved the vegan options (I am not a vegan but do try vegan food whenever I can order it). The vegan nachos were probably the best nachos we've ever had. In the photo, that is not chicken but cauliflower!! This hip joint should be around for years to come as the owner Dave is involved in everything from answering the phone to greeting guests to serving food or bringing extra napkins. He has an amazing story and deserves to knock it out of the park ♡♡ Have continued to visit and Michelle is such a gem...we always look forward to seeing her.
