Telling the owner if you're gluten free. They can and will modify your order to accommodate. Lasagna wife said tasted like chef board r de (ha ha) sauce tasted like canned. No cheese on the table which surprised me. I will go back to try this place again. Service was excellent.
Absolutely amazing food and staff. Came from a horrible experience from parrot eye down the street to here! so we could actually eat in peace without rude and hostile owner and staff. But again the staff here was amazing and staff was so sweet and very response even though we came at almost closing time and still acted and treated us like we were the first customer of the day. Plus that garlic bread was amazing. Best steak i ever had!!
Loved everything about it. Down to the temperature. The place is cozy and homey, While the food is marvelous. Everything smelled and tasted homemade with grade A service. The owner... I think is a very fine lady, very sweet along with the staff. I loved everything even the salad tasted homemade. Definitely would recommend when in the area
This is a ma &pa restaurant that has been in business for 20+ years on South Padre Island. Owner operated with the owners waiting tables. The service was excellent. The food was very good. Very relaxing and quiet environment. Could use some upgrading like sweat tea and fountain drinks instead of drinks in a can. Overall the wife and I enjoyed the a very nice quiet dinner. I would reccomend visiting this restaurant.
I had the steak and fettuccine alfredo, they cooked my steak perfectly! My fiance had spaghetti and meatballs and he ate all of it! The garlic bread was delicious and the staff was friendly! We will definitely be going back!
This place is a nice solid bet for decent food. Looks and feels like a Mom and Pop. When my family went, was barely crowded. Seems to have only three staff. Everybody is nice. Price on food is par for the course. Just a good place to snag some good food.
Wedding anniversary dinner was amazing. Atmosphere was nice all we needed was some Frank Sinatra music 🎶. Waitstaff was pleasant and friendly.

Of all of our meals at South Padre on our vacation, this was our family's favorite. The prices were reasonable, the food was very tasty, and the service was great. The owners are Italian and very friendly. I had the pizza (I'm a sucker for Salami pizza since it's not very common in America). My kids all had various pastas. And, my wife chose the flounder. All were very good. The place wasn't very busy.So, I wanted to tell the world that this place is worth a visit on our vacation to South Padre Island.
Food was good, hot when it got to table and a very clean resturant. Portions were small for the price. But other than that it was a very nice place to eat. I would recommend it to others. This is where we chose to eat our anniversary dinner.
I am kicking myself because I have lived in the area for 5 years and only just ate there tonight. Food was excellent - I had the Minestrone soup to start followed by the Chicken Piccata and we shared a side of their wonderful garlic bread. My lady had the Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo. All the food was cooked from scratch, the only complaint being that the alfredo sauce needed more herbs/garlic for our tastes. I have family that lives in Rome and the Piccata was as good as I've eaten over there in the best of the best establishments. We had a few drinks to go with the meals. Total bill was $43. The service was really great too. We went because a group of veteran locals told us that this was THE place to get Italian food and spectacular pizzas. I will update this review when we get the pizza. My only regret - that I never noticed this place sooner. Sorry Gabriella's, your decor is better but your chefs and prices aren't even in the same league as this guy...
