The Jamaican quiche was excellent. The Jamaican blue mountain coffee is bomb. I'm not normally a coffee drinker but it was so smooth and delicious. I ended up grabbing a couple chicken and beef patties for lunch later after breakfast. Please support this business. The food and staff are amazing.
Phenomenal!!!!! Everything taste absolutely delicious. I literally have been going there every other day since the first day I tried a pastry there. I’m addicted to there Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. If your a coffee snob you will never visit Starbucks again after trying there Blue Mountain brew. The pastries are super fresh and so the sandwiches are even better. I’ve tried both the jerk chicken sandwich as well as the Jerk salmon sandwich. Both are extraordinary. I’ve also had the pleasure of trying just about every baked pastry they offer. My favorite being the Black Forest cake. Also there fresh patties are the best!! You must stop in you won’t be disappointed
Went to the new Jamaican//American bakery in South Orange this morning. They have a wide selection of baked good to chose from. On today's visit, I went with a classic cinnamon bun. When the counter person asked if I wanted it warmed up just a little, my smile made her laugh as she was already on her way to warm it before I could even say yes please.
The place has a several tables to sit and enjoy the food, including plenty of highchairs. Coffee was good and was insanely hot just the way I like it.
I look forward to giving the soups and Jamaican patties a try on a future visit.

Great food, amazing service and an atmosphere that makes you feel like you're always among friends; I think everyone needs to experience this really warm, love filled restaurant. My first time was on a Friday night for dinner and they had a really good band jamming with the best reggae music. Weekends there with family or friends is a great experience or you can just go by yourself to eat and make some new friends. I highly recommend K-Kakes Cakery.

This new cakery addresses South Orange’s need of family friendly socialization locations with epically delicious savory and sweet treats. Lots of table space, this two room cafe feels like everything you would want in a local cafe-couches, 4 seat tables, with high chairs and a very family friendly attitude. I tried the bourbon pecan latte (dairy based) and the vegan (lentil and potato filling) patty and was blown away by both. They also have vegetable-based, chicken, and beef patties. They use green mountain coffee and have a mixture of espresso based and traditional drip coffee beverages.
It’s worth noting that The family that runs the store couldn’t be any nicer. Very happy to have them in the neighborhood!
YUM! I stopped by K. Kakes today as my office, Best in Class Education Center, is right down the street! I'm so glad I did. Everything was delicious! I had a beef patty (not from frozen!), bun and cheese, and a side of cabbage. I'm so happy and so is my belly. Great job.
Family friendly restaurant near the South Orange train station. I had the jerk chicken sandwich and would absolutely order it again. There patties ( I tried the a beef patty and a vegan patty) were the best I've ever had.
