My wife and I went with a good friend based on her recommendation. We were very pleased! Although the restaurant was noisy it was nice because it was busy serving customers. I had the "Hotel Reuben" sandwich which was delicious! It is advertised that there is a 1/2 pound of meat on the sandwich, and while I didn't bring a scale, it was every bit of 8 Oz. We will be going back again sometime very soon.

An old 2-story hotel turned into a bar/restaurant. This is the house special 12" pizza made with homemade sauce, heavy toppings and a crispy yet airy crust. I got the parmesan-flavored crust. 3 pieces filled me up. Only $14.84 after tax! Alyssa was a terrific server. Def recommend! Unique menu includes coconut chicken strips with pina colada sauce, Grown Up mac & cheese, Mexican choices, burgers, etc.

I've been coming here since I was a kid, before it burnt down. In recent times, I have been frequently sitting at the bar with my boyfriend (about twice a week). All of the employees are generally very friendly and willing to serve us, and I always leave a good tip. The food is mediocre, but I'm generally happy with the service I get, especially considering the national staff shortage. Today, we went to sit at the bar, and the bartender asked me if I was 21, I said no, and she told me very rudely that I couldn't sit there. No apologetic tone or anything. I was with my boyfriend, who is 21. Where would I go if I was his designated driver, and he wanted to sit at the bar? I have never been questioned by anyone, and this woman has actually served us before, at the bar. The law in Michigan is 17. It's disappointing that they would require people to be 21 to sit at the bar. The food is mediocre, the rules are inconsistent, and it's got terrible volume control - they need to add in more absorbent surfaces to soak up the noise. Food is always slow, and I try to be understanding, but this place will no longer be taking my money and time. **edit: right after I wrote this review, we paid. They didn't even give us correct change. What's considered the gem of South Lyon is becoming a sh** show.
