I went to this diner this morning for breakfast and can honestly say I had the best omelet and American fries ever! I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal.

Great little place. Seating is tight, but it adds to the character. Food was plentiful and tasty. When I come back in town, I will definitely come here again.
I just went to the new one on the state line road and got her biscuits and gravy.. and let me tell you..... GOOD GOOD GOOD!!!!! i EVEN CALLED HER TO TELL HER.. And since i live a block away and have no car i sure will be returning again and probly many many more times.. Thank you Jeannie for ur service and such a nice lil homey restaraunt :)
The food and hospitality is #1! I grew up on Chester Street and 30 years ago my brother's and I loved the food and enjoyed the regulars. we had names for them. There was "Army Man Joe" who always wore army green clothes and there was "Big Head John". We were pre-teens at the time and just had fun listening to there stories. Neighbors would tell us stories about when they would hang out there years before us. I moved out of state, but always make sure to stop by when in town.
I'm happy to see it now. It looks so much better now and it's one of many that are the back bone of America. I'm certain Obama was not there helping Jeannie and her husband work hard and sweat to create there own piece of the "American Dream".

Good affordable food and GREAT coffee!!!. Great food, and great people! It's a little small inside, but it's freshly renovated, and very comfortable. A fantastic addition to the River Park/Bellevue neighborhoods and only 2 blocks down the road from IUSB.
They serve Red Eye Coffee with a fantastic Breakfast. The Little City Scramble is huge, and with a cup of coffee it's less than $9 which is hard to beat. Their lunch sandwiches are amazing too, try the Bacon Cheeseburger. All French-Fries and Potato Chips (my favorite) are homemade, fresh-cut and fried right in front of you! The menu is a little limited, but they use local artisan breads and high quality, thick-cut bacon so the dishes they do offer are remarkable. Jeannie is always there chatting with the customers and she has been willing to make dishes that aren't on the menu.
They just added a ribeye dinner since their re-opening, so one of these days I'll have to see how good it is. I would definitely recommend this place.
Service and food great. I was upset at end of our breakfast when 3 people walked in and say behind us and started swearing with kids sitting not far away. Not diner fault but was just not very nice of the lady using the F word every other word or sentence. Love coming to this place.
The waitresses are very very friendly and attentive! The food is fairly priced and everything we've eaten there has been fantastic,! Large servings. Waitresses are great and fun! Don't forget to tip the cook she makes super food!
Very delicious home cooked breakfast. It's probably all great as the chopped steak with my big jimbos breakfast was amazing, if not the best I've ever had!
The food was amazing and the women here worked like a well oiled machine. Super fast and super friendly. Thanks for the perfect bacon!!! Two thumbs up!!
The biscuits and gravy are made from scratch and they’re delicious. Would love to taste more of their homemade food. Don’t forget to ask for the Jeannie jam either!

2.21.22 another great visit..Great atmosphere and vibe for mom 👩 and pop diner.
Great skillets and even better coffee. Nice place to eat in South Bend. The staff is also very friendly.
