Little Tampico

If you have any food allergies don’t go here. My daughter placed a pick up order through DoorDash and stated “ severe allergy to shrimp “. So when I picked up the order I double checked with the manager?/bartender to make sure the kitchen was aware of the allergy when preparing the 2 dishes she ordered. The lady was so rude and said, “ you mean did I wipe a shrimp all over, no, but we are a restaurant,’ and she walked away shaking her head at me like I asked for something impossible. It was not the answer you want to hear from a food establishment when it comes to your child’s life. Honestly there were 2 tables of patrons in the entire place and if this was too much to ask for, I’d hate to see what happens if they were actually busy. Food was just okay but customer service is why we won’t be returning.

Customer service: Very good. Friendly and attentive! Menu: Great options plus vegan and vegetarian choices. No matter what you like, there is poetically something here for you. Bar/alcohol: Good, strong and well priced margaritas. Good selections of tequila. And basic beers. Food: Pretty good. My vegan tacos were delicious and I got black beans instead of refried so I was happy with it. My dairy eating friends had slight complaints about it being too cheesy, but still delicious. The biggest problem was that the guacamole was bland and plain. We had to poor a tone of salt and there was nothing in it. No lime, cilantro, tomatoes etc. Just avocado mashed up.... very disappointing. Would still go there, but don't get the guac!

My husband took me here recently because he had been taken there by a client and he had enjoyed it very much; the food, location and the atmosphere. I was happy to try it and even more so after the fact because the food was delicious, it is located in a beautiful area along a stream and even the customers were very friendly amongst each other. Its a big place and there is plenty of seating to choose from; outside and inside, with outdoor views that are pleasing to the eye. I am looking forward to going back and bringing others with us!

Tampico is a mainstay and a pillar of the Soquel community. We always measure other MX restaurants against the flavors you get at Little Tampico. Staff has been there for ever and always remembers us and the whole family. Be prepared to wait times during the busy times. Love the Molly Margarita and the Shrimp Flautas.
