Simply Delish

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Simply Delish! Vonnie was an absolute gem to work with and not only was she so kind and had great communication, her cupcakes and cake were absolutely delicious!!! My husband and I eloped in Yosemite National Park last year with our two pups and our immediate families so we ordered cupcakes and a small one tier cake. They even had a delivery option to bring the sweets to the rv resort we were staying at, which was a HUGE help. Everyone could not get enough of the cupcakes and the flavors! The cake was so dang good, my husband and I decided to eat a few bites each night after the wedding so it would last a little longer. There was no way we were going to be able to save a slice and freeze it and pull it back out on our anniversary. We'll just have to make another trip to California so we can get another one of Vonnie's creations. The salted caramel was SO GOOD! Seriously, can't recommend them enough!!!

Ive had my fair share of cupcakes from cute little bakeries, but the treats I picked up from here were by far the best I have ever had, me and my husband devoured everything so fast we forgot to take pictures! You can taste the love put into every bite. The 24 karat gold cupcake tasted like Christmas with just the right amount of spice, The coconut cupcake had an amaretto flavor that wasn't overly sweet and complimented the coconut so well, my husband is in LOVE with the chocolate crackle cookies, and anyone who loves cheesecake HAS TO TRY the white chocolate dark chocolate swirl cheesecake bite, it was a whole experience on its own. The prices for everything are also extremely fair, especially considering the quality of the ingredients put into everything. Whenever we are up in Sonora we will be stopping at what is now our new favorite treat shop.

Brought my wedding cake 3 hrs early to venue after confirming the day before the time. Owner and assistant did not want to come back at correct time. Instead they set up a 4 layer cake in the venue's bar fridge without any type of supports. To no one's surprise the cake fell well before the wedding inside the fridge. The groom called and in her words 'I didn't have to but that is the person I am' brought some cupcakes for our guests. The 1 tier that was salvaged in a way was dry and crumbled when we cut did the cake cutting and no one liked the cupcakes. We ended up throwing everything away the next day. So disappointing since I was so careful to pick somewhere with a good reputation. Me nor my family will ever consider this place again and will always advise against. $600 booked 2 years in advanced and paid upfront only to end with this joke. And I still have the email from the day before confirming the time change the day before the wedding. Origial information to confirm times was sent 11 days before wedding and not replied to until the day before. Contracts here barely cover anything and "flexible" terms apparently to benifit the owner. Guess we will never know if the it was the tables fault since it fell before it ever made it out of the fridge. Why would I ever consider going back for my anniversary? I don't know anyone who would pay that much to be disappointed a second time. I would not like to curse the happiness on my first anniversary. We will be having a cake made that we can actually enjoy and eat.
