Came out for dinner and ordered the Porterhouse for 2 which went up from the last time I was here but it was cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. We also ordered lobster Mac and cheese as well as sautéed spinach. It was a Saturday night so it was a bit crowded but we had a booth so thats was a good thing not having to sit next to alot of people. Also had a few drinks which whoever the bartenders were made great drinks. At the end of the night the bill came and was well over $300. Great food and good service. A little pricy but definitely will come back again and recommend it but better make reservations because they stay packed.

Took my Mom there for Mother's Day. This restaurant is her all time favorite as well as mine. The food and service is second to none. Been there with my wife several times and never had a bad meal or service. This review comes with the highest recommendations. First class all the way. You will not be disappointed.

I have been to Wolfgang's many times, and as always, the food is very good, however the service during my last visit was well below the standard I expect from this restaurant. When we arrived for our reservation, on-time, front of house advised that our table was not ready, would not be for some time, and could we please wait somewhere else. Alternating between standing outside, in the cold, and waiting in our car, it took 40 minutes before they finally were able to seat us. From that point, it took approximately another 3 hours to complete our meal as every service course was exceedingly slow. To make matters worse, they sat us next to us a group of children, all under the age of 10, while all the parents sat at a different table. The parents were all under dressed (ripped jeans and sweatshirts) and ordered things not even on the menu (chicken fingers). Granted this is a restaurant with no kids menu that needs to be booked a week in advance. Meanwhile, in this extended seating room, they had left two large TVs playing for our entire meal; one TV was playing sponge bob square parents and the second TV was playing Jeopardy/wheel of fortune, the entire time. It was so loud in this room, that my party could barely converse without yelling or huddling close to each other. The tables between parties were so close together, seat backs would hit and NOBODY was wearing a MASK, not service, not customers, nobody. It was an embarrassing experience for me, as the host of my party. I will not return.

Such a weird experience. Typically save restaurants like this for a special occasion, but probably not again after this last experience. Potatoes show up to our table burnt to a crisp. My wife mentions it to the waiter who then dumps them all on her plate, says "Enjoy" and walks away. We actually never saw the waiter again after that. The rest of the food was pretty good. Except when we asked for our leftover sides to be wrapped, our spinach got thrown away and we were only left with the burnt potatoes. I mentioned this to the new waiter, and they replaced the spinach and covered our dessert for the trouble (which is why this review is 3 stars and not 1 or 2), but for some reason, still refused to do anything about the potatoes. The dessert was fantastic though. Definitely recommend the chocolate mousse if you do end up going, but honestly the experience left me a little sour. You'd expect a little more class from a place where you're easily spending $100+ per person.

You pay for the name.... we left hungry... never in my life have I left a steakhouse hungry. Drinks were good, no issues there. "Steak fries" are the same quality as those mcdonalds style fries you get from the freezer aisle from your supermarket. Creamed spinach was pureed as from a nursing home. Steak came out RAW, full on purple inside, ordered medrare .. when i told waiter he told me I am wrong and seared the outsides on the hot plate as if it would cook the inside. Wouldnt be bothered to bring it back and throw it in the oven... sat there myself and had to push the peices down hard on the plate to cook... I was hoping to have a local steakhouse but I will continue to drive up to Motown for quality... Roots, Capital Grill, Ruths all hands down over this.

I think reviewing steakhouses is hard as it is very dependent on what you are looking for as both the experience and the taste of the steak. Wolfgang is based off of a German type steakhouse of which one of the prime examples is Peter Luger’s in Brooklyn, NY. Given the creators of Wolfgang steakhouse had careers in Peter Luger’s for many years… the menus are very similar. The steak at Wolfgang is a dry aged steak cooked in copious amounts of butter. The steak is soft and there is a large amount of melted steak fat and butter fat that piles up since they set the plate at an angle. This can be used as a sauce for the steak. If you desire charred ends and a crisp on the steak, this is not that kind of steak. If you go to Wolfgang, this is the kind of steak you expect as you would if you ate at Peter Lugers. If you prefer steak at STK steakhouse, that steak has more charring and crisp. The dishes in Wolfgang is usually average and the best reason to go is the steaks and the bacon especially if you like steaks cooked in this style. I’ve gone to this location less in recent years compared to the Tribeca location where I think the food has been more consistent and service a bit sharper there. The decor is more upscale than Peter Lugers but the dishes and price point are similar.
