The atmosphere although quite busy and a bit loud was extremely welcoming. We were seated at a small table amongst other small tables. Our waitress was phenomenal! She was patient, kind and funny! The food was outrageously well done! Really! I have very high expectations for myself and others that I work with etc. Sarma easily met my expectations and during a few tastings; exceeded them! Please come and experience this delicious food! 2 Absolute must haves are the Pork Belly sliders and the combo of sugar snap peas with Greek Yogurt, Honey and toasted quinoa!!! A fabulous fresh "cleanser" before sharing the desserts!
As a chef owner of a restaurant, it's difficult to find a spot where you leave completely blown away. Well, chef Cassie did just that. This was the best meal I ever had in my life. Every bite. I woke up the next morning like "what happened". I will be back weekly.
Such an amazing experience. Truly one of a kind dishes. We ordered the mushroom pasta, the tomato feta pasta, the pumpkin fritters and the lentil nachos. They were small plate style and all were fantastic. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the Boston area!!
I like this place. It has nice small portions of food. Everything looks cute. You have to make a reservation if you want to have a table otherwise, the only option will be to be seated at the bar. The place is small by itself too. My friend and I ordered several dishes to share and everything tasted great. My favorite was dessert. We ordered donuts and picked two toppings, OMG those donuts were delicious! I highly recommend this place, they serve food in a very beautiful way and their drinks look great. The only problem is parking. There is no parking. You need to drive around and search for a parking space, other than that everything is great!
A+ experience all around from the food to the drink selection. The food is hearty and filling with a spice selection that uniquely flavors each dish in a way that i haven’t experienced before. The lentil nachos were far and away the best nachos ive had as a vegan. The vegan menu is very cool because it makes selecting what i want to eat very easy. Staff is really friendly & attentive. My water never made it to even 1/2 way full before someone came to refill it.
This is my second time at this restaurant. I had gone their 1.5 year back when they had their tasting menu and had loved it. We wanted to go back again but found out they don’t server tasting menus any longer. However lot of items seemed familiar and we went ahead. There’s nothing on the menu that I don’t like. Best restaurant so far in Massachusetts.
Things to try:
Cornbread
Barbecue duck
Fritters
In any case, try everything and you will like it all.
I had been wanting to go here for a while and was finally able to get a reservation. Had a lot of vegan options and they were very helpful in pointing them out on the menu. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend the maitake mushrooms! From the drinks to the food to the dessert, everything lived up to the hype!
Drinks, Food, Service 15/10. Everyone who worked here was exceptionally kind and attentive. We kept looking around trying to figure out if anyone else was having the same kind of existential crisis we were bc of how incredible the food was. We were possibly floating outside of our bodies but we only has one drink each so it was definitely the food.
One of those places known for their creative dishes where textures & flavors are used to create a delightful dining experience.
The harissa BBQ duck, black sea cornbread, brisket shaworma, & the pumpkin fritter are some of the dishes I enjoyed at Sarma. I came here a couple of times and it’s always fun to try a new dish 🤤
Great service & lovely ambiance both indoors & outdoors 💫
Food is great here and would highly recommend! Portion wise, they recommended 2-3 plates/person but even 3-4 wouldn't be outrageous. They have a cute little patio area but unfortunately, the heat lamps aren't really quite enough for a late October evening. Parking is very difficult: everything nearby is resident parking and there's maybe 5-10 2 hour parking spots. Would definitely return though!
