Wings Over Somerville

Customer service was absolutely phenomenal. I was really hungry but I truly did not have my wallet and needed to eat something because I had been out all day. I went in with a couple of bucks and this dude was amazing. He helped me pick pick something that would keep me for a little while and crunchy. Thankful for him. Unfortunately, as someone who knows her wings, they were not as tasty. They were just really buffaloed up. The waffle fries were just perfect and the french fries were really delish.

Learn from me and seriously don’t bother considering Wings Over Somerville. Last night was the final straw of a tumultuous chicken-related relationship and I’m out. Feeling brave? Take a look at the pictures of that buffalo chicken wrap. Pictures don’t do this “wrap” justice. It was god awful and yes, I’m holding the entire wrap I was delivered, that’s not a single half. (The wings I ordered were dry and chewy too). I’m writing this review for you at 6:30am, 8hours after finishing my meal last night, to warn you to expect disappointment the same way I should’ve. Giving this 2 stars so I don’t get written off as a irrational hater.

This place completely changed in so many ways - First thing that completely turns me off about this place is the extremely immature staff. It’s literally like walking into a high school classroom. They’re constantly on smoke breaks & goofing around behind the counter. Next, the wait time is VERY long. If you order a drink they always forget it & when you remind them, they say they don’t have it. Also, their boneless wings use to be waaay bigger & they would put a generous amount of sauce over the wings. They put barely ANY sauce now, so I ask for “extra” sauce on top of the wings to get even just a tiny bit more and even then, the wings are still really dry but to mention the sauces don’t taste the same either. I use to order from here weekly so I know very well how their food use to be and it seriously changed in a negative way. The worst part .. THEY ARE SO OVER PRICED!!! Seriously, overpriced is an understatement. I don’t know what happened to this place but it’s not the same. My family and I made the decision to completely give up on this place. Bad service, long waits, the food portions are much smaller & insanely over priced. None of that is ok.

The bone in wings are mostly a miss. I can't remember the last time I actually enjoyed them. That said the boneless are still great but this place used to cook the wings to taste. The new afterburner is way tamer and not very hot at all. Finally they only use GrubHub now, which means a puddle jumper is past $20. Ehh there are way better sub and pizza shop wings around. Edit: Why do I keep ordering from this place? Dropping to 1 star I ordered just wings this time and they weren't worth the calories.
