Good flavors and quaint neighborhood Nepalese joint. Personally I enjoyed the thali more than the momos. The spicy momos were a tad too saucy for me and most of my order had ‘leaked’. Goat thali was delicious, the veggies and cauliflower was a good compliment but the dal too salty. The pickles and chili sauce were my fav. Samosas were huge, tasty and I enjoyed the mango lassi. They are quite busy with takeout orders so about a 20min wait for food on weekends.
We went with basic steamed pork mo:mo, absolutely among the best we've had anywhere. They were large and generously filled with pork. The meat was good quality and the seasoning perfect. We also had the paneer chilli, cubes of cottage cheese cooked in sweet and hot homemade chili sauce. The flavor was very good; the sweet and hot went together well but it was very spicy. Service was excellent. You can buy frozen mo:mos to take home.
We tried the steamed momos which were excellent! They were just like the momos that we had in Nepal.
Some of the best food ive ever had, their momos are amazing
Ordered pick-up and the food was ready well packed. The food was really good. If you are a fan of spicy food go for Chili Mo Mo. I am a vegetarian and there are quite a few vegan and vegetarian options. Also ordered Veggie Chowmein and they were not very spicy. The food overall tastes good and was well packed. Very friendly staff. The best part is they are open until 10 pm.
Tasty Mo:Mo was AWESOME!
It's a tiny little hole in the wall spot that seems to treat mainly in take out. The menu is very small, but that just means that that the restaurant is entirely dedicated to doing a few things VERY well. And Tasty Mo:Mo does momos better than I've ever had them before.
The guy working the cashier seemed a little surprised that we hadn't ordered ahead, but he was friendly and got our momos cooking very quickly. He told us we could pay after we are and so we sat down to wait for our food to be prepared fresh.
They have pop music and music videos playing on a tv in the corner. We enjoyed that and thought it was fun. :)
Our momos took maybe 10 minutes to cook. They came out super hot and fresh. I had steamed chicken momos and my boyfriend had chili beef momos. My momos were served with two cups of sauce. One was kind of spicy and the other was tomato based. I liked both, but preferred the tomato based one. The flavors melded beautifully with the soft dough, chewy chicken pieces, and crunchy onion shreds. My boyfriend loved his chili beef, too.
The prices are CRAZY reasonable. We both ate for what it would cost maybe one of us to eat at a restaurant at most other restaurants in Boston.
Seriously, check this place out! I adored it.
