Average pastries and coffee but awesome breakfast sandwiches. Dropped by this morning to try their croissant, cafe latte and an avocado toast. Croissant wasn't as flaky and crunchy as the ones I've tried at other cafes (Tatte etc) but more expensive. On the other hand, avocado toast was nicely seasoned and the baguette was great.

One of my favorite places for coffee drinks, baked goods, and sandwiches. At the time of this review, Forge is well positioned for takeout orders, and some limited seating is controlled by the compliance with current times. They produce really good coffee drinks here with lots of customization options (some for upcharge). Sandwiches (breakfast or lunch) once tried quite a few, with similar customization options and all that I've tried were tasty with quality ingredients. Today was a simple Egg & Cheese (Egg, cheddar, spinach, and dijonnaise on fresh focaccia bread) Support your businesses!

A longtime favorite, I used to come here early before work for a coffee with friends or to hang out on weekends. Sure it gets busy but I love the pastries and watching the bread makers in the back. It's lots of fun on a snow day when you have to trudge through to earn your coffee and scone

Very overpriced for standard quality goods. I buy a lot of bread around Boston, and the standard everywhere is very high. I bought a sourdough here for $8. This is very overpriced. The size and quality were the same as I would expect in the many good artisan bakeries that we have. It was the price that was different. $5 would have been appropriate for the loaf, $6 would have been expensive. $8 was outlandish. On top of this, their touch screen ordering process automatically adds a fixed service charge to the cost of the loaf, then offers you to add a further tip on top of this in several suggested amounts. I was left with the feeling that they are somewhat pompous and out of touch with competitive reality. Can’t see this place being there for the long term.

This is one of those great examples of a bakery cafe that Is a WOMEN owned and everything is made from the ground up were flavor and quality is the core of the business. Bakery owners like Alexis that owns crust bake shop in Worcester should visit this place for a better lesson in the field of culinary arts. Her place pales in comparison. Boston area is still number 1 when it comes to Bakery business. And when I see reviews with over priced there is a coffee shop in Hudson Wild Hare that makes sourdough bread and baked goods do cost enough.

Visited this place for breakfast and their sandwichs are really good. It is in a rather ghetto building, but if you get inside it is nice. Highly recommend their bagel sandwich with salmon inside, which I forgot to take a picture.

Way overpriced. Veggie club was intended to taste like a cold deli meat sandwich. It was disgusting. Espresso was burnt to a crisp and so gross neither my partner nor I could finish it. Bread was mediocre at best. No idea why this place appears to be popular. Literally worst bakery/cafe I’ve been to in the greater Boston area.

tried their chocolate croissant ($5 for just one!!!!). it was okay. decent size and had 3 layers of chocolate which is nice. but the texture wasn’t super delicate (kinda crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside) and i didn’t love the chocolate flavor. would rate at 4 stars if it weren’t for that insane price.
