China Lake Restaurant

They've been around forever for a reason, China Lake has some absolutely amazing food!! Service was perfect, food came out piping hot! Never had anything here I didn't like! I think I get more food when I dine in VS when I order takeout! Best egg rolls around by far!! If you don't like them, It's you!! Lol

Ordered general tso and this is what I got. Not to mention I only wanted the meal which comes with white rice, when I called they said “that’s our version” well instead of rushing to take my order because you closed in an hour you should have explained that it is a little different or just ran me through the plate before I ordered it. I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning.

I would say it is average for Chinese food around here. I do understand the cost of everything is up right now too but it was extremely expensive compared to what it used to be. Also their new to-go system is extremely odd. We use to go inside to pickup the food (yes during COVID) and now you don't go inside. Instead you go to a window in the parking lot to grab your food and pay.

Will give a 1.5 star rating strictly for the nice people at the front desk, but I couldn't eat the food. Fried rice just tasted old with dried out pork, dumplings had this taste as if it was reheated, and the general Tao's chicken... the chicken itself just tasted like it was going to make you sick with the sauce lacking in flavor. Also ordered the sesame chicken which I did not realize was fried chicken fingers with a side of sesame-mushroom sauce. I did not like the sauce but also wasn't expecting it so I'll take the blame for ordering wrong. Did eat one fried chicken finger with ketchup... and thats all my wife an I ate from this meal. Will not go back.
